1989 Yamaha YZ (1989)
Up For auction here is a Very clean and 95% Original 89 YZ-490. My Brother in law bought this bike from a local Honda dealer way back in the mid 90s And did not put hardly any hours on it at all, Maybe 10 hours if that and always takes really good care of his bikes. He is for sure the second owner, Bike has a FMF Gold series pipe with a couple of small dents, and a Answer forestry approved spark arrester silencer, Rear fender is not original and neither are the handlebars, Frame was kinda touched up many years ago right were you legs rub, but other then a few small things the bike is Original, Suspension is Awesome and fully adjustable, Fires right up and runs and rides Perfect and does wheelies easily in 5th gear, Oh yea it is a 5-speed, These newer 490s are CR-500 Killers for sure as I have owned them all and the 490 out shines in every way!!2016-11-07 04:39:57Elmira, Oregon, United States1005800 -

Everything is original except for grips, tires (stock tires had dry rot), and rear sprocket (Original owner changed it?) The update is expected to be relatively minor, adding traction control to the Z650RS. The update would bring the retro RS model in line with the more modern-styled Z650 and the Ninja 650, both of which were updated with traction control for 2023, as well as the Versys 650 which received traction control in 2022.
