Design of the highly rigid aluminum frame, suspension components and settings focused on ensuring control is maintained during high-speed riding – especially in straight lines – to enable race-experienced riders to ride full out. And to deliver holeshot-winning performance – a key factor that can mean the difference between running up front and winning, or getting stuck mid-pack – chassis geometry and the hard-hitting four-stroke engine’s wide powerband were designed to maximize rear wheel traction. Recall for 2009-2010 Kawasaki KLX250

Tue, 05 Jul 2011

Kawasaki is recalling some 2009-2010 KLX250 models due to a risk of leaky fuel tanks. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the fuel tank on affected motorcycles may not be in contact with the frame-mounted rubber dampers designed to support the front of the tank, and the tank side mounting tabs may have excessive clearance from from the frame. As a result, spot-welded sections along the side tabs may be under excessive stress, potentially resulting in cracking and a fuel leak.

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
