Kawasaki KX description

2007 Kawasaki KX250, Fat bars, FMF exhaust system, Pro-action suspension of Kentucky, Radiator guards, stainless steel brake lines. Pro setup - TWO-STROKE FUN RETURNS FOR ANOTHER YEAR. For those who love the smell of premix and the sound of a two-stroke’s wail, the 2007 Kawasaki KX250 features a powerful 249 cc, liquid-cooled, two-stroke engine, wrapped in a lightweight perimeter style frame for explosive acceleration and maximum agility. The KX250’s chassis includes a strong, lightweight Renthal aluminum handlebar, aluminum subframe and the rear shock features dual compression adjustability so riders have maximum tuning options for both low- and high-speed compression damping. Up front, the Kayaba AOS fork has a one-piece sleeve for plush suspension action at full compression. The KX250 has excellent stopping power, thanks to its petal-style disc brakes. Not only are they lighter than a traditional disc, their shape also helps to clean the brake pads for more efficient braking performance when conditions get nasty. Kawasaki offers optional parts for the KX250, including carburetor tuning parts, ignition rotors, a larger countershaft sprocket, aluminum and steel rear sprockets, solid brake discs for wet racing conditions and a 20-inch front wheel. Those who race their KX250 at designated events are eligible to receive support from Team Green, Kawasaki’s amateur racing support program. Each year, Team Green provides regional support vehicles and highly trained technicians at more than 100 events, offering technical information and assistance to those who race Kawasaki products. Kawasaki also offers a comprehensive contingency program for amateur and professional riders who place well at designated events.

2011-2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Recalled for Crankcase Oil Leak

Fri, 10 Aug 2012

Kawasaki is issuing a recall on its 2011 and 2012 Ninja ZX-10R due to a potential oil leak in the crankcase. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, engine oil may leak from the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R‘s crankcase from a machined area where the starter is mounted. Leaked oil may pool on top of the crank case and, under continued use, spill onto the rear tire, reducing traction and increasing the risk of a crash.

Snowjob

Sun, 05 Feb 2012

Is the current weather causing your commute a bit of problem? Sounds like a job for the Snowjob. Pictured here using a Kawasaki, the Snowjob conversion system turns your motorcycle into a jumping, wheelieing snowcycle in less than four hours. Derek Hine designed the Snowjob back in '73, but it looks like it could be just as handy today.
