Kawasaki KX description

2007 Kawasaki KX 65, CU056659THE FIRST STEP ON THE PATH OF A CHAMPION.
Once a young rider has mastered the basics of motorcycle riding, they ll often want to try their hand at racing. The Kawasaki KX65 is made just for them. From a small group of friends in a vacant field, to fully-sanctioned motocross races, the KX65 is a perfect platform for developing racecraft and honing bike control skills. With its liquid-cooled, high-performance two-stroke engine, full-race chassis, long-travel suspension and disc brakes, the smallest KX model is an ideal starting point for young riders wishing to emulate their Supercross heroes.

The heart of the KX65 is a liquid-cooled, 64 cc two-stroke engine matched to a smooth-shifting six-speed manual transmission and manual clutch.

The engine is bolted into a semi-double-cradle steel frame, and like the larger KX models, the KX65 s swing arm uses the UNI-TRAK linkage system, which applies progressively stiffer damping and spring rates to the single rear shock as the suspension is compressed. The shock and fork boast four-way adjustable rebound damping for optimal handling.

Lightweight aluminum rims reduce unsprung weight to help improve suspension action, and both wheels feature hydraulic disc brakes that not only provide great stopping power, but require little maintenance and simplify wheel removal. Plus, the KX65 features a two-tone seat, just like larger KX models.

Youngsters who race their KX65 at designated events are eligible to receive support from Team Green, Kawasaki s amateur racing support program. Each year, Team Green provides regional support vehicles and highly trained technicians at more than 100 events, offering technical information and assistance to those who race Kawasaki products. Kawasaki also offers a comprehensive contingency program for amateur and professional riders who place well at designated events.

2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Recalled for ABS Modulator Issue

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

As we expected, a manufacturing error for a Nissin anti-lock brake modulator has led to a recall in the U.S. for the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300. (UPDATE: Transport Canada has also issued a recall for 745 units, in addition to the 1,083 units recalled in the U.S.) Kawasaki had already issued a recall in Japan for ABS-equipped versions of the 2013 Ninja 250, so it was no surprise that the 300, which uses nearly all of the same parts, would fall victim to the recall as well.

NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

Fri, 22 Aug 2014

The U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have launched a new free online tool that should make it easier for consumers to inspect their vehicles’ safety recall histories. The new search tool, available at http://www.safercar.gov/vinlookup, allows people to look for recall campaigns by entering Vehicle Identification Numbers.

Kawasaki to Release New KLR650S Variant for 2023 (UPDATED)

Tue, 12 Jul 2022

Variant appears in Australia certifications Kawasaki surprised us all a year ago when it brought back the KLR650, resurrecting the venerable adventure bike with fuel injection, updated styling, and a new one-piece frame. For the U.S., the third-generation KLR650 was available in a few different flavors, the base model, the Traveler model with a top case and the Adventure model with side cases, auxiliary lighting and engine guards, not to mention ABS versions of the base and Adventure models. Kawasaki Australia offered two versions for 2022, the KLR650 (model code KL650F) and the KLR650 Adventure (model code KL650H).
