Kawasaki KX description

2005 Kawasaki KX65, VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF ! SEVERAL UPGRADES - Motocross is a highly competitive sport, even among the youngest racers, which makes having the right motorcycle an absolute necessity. To help young motocross racers be competitive as possible, the Kawasaki KX65 motocross bike has leading-edge features, such as long-travel suspension, a high-performance two-stroke engine and six-speed manual transmission. Like its championship-winning sibling, the KX125, the KX65 is every bit a race-winning Kawasaki. A liquid-cooled, high-performance two-stroke engine powers the KX65 and features a strong, lightweight piston residing in an Electrofusion-coated cylinder. A CNC-machined finish on the bridge between the exhaust ports also contributes to better engine reliability and staves off seizures. Perfect for young riders accustomed to smaller motorcycles, the KX65 has a quick and smooth-shifting six-speed transmission with a manual clutch-actuating mechanism. A quality shift drum bearing reduces oil drainage from the transmission to the side case, and chrome-finished shift fork ends resist wear and keep the KX65 shifting smoothly for years to come.

Geeky snippets ahead of the Phillip Island MotoGP

Tue, 13 Oct 2009

Valentino Rossi has finished on the podium eleven times in his twelve visits to Phillip Island across all three GP classes. The only race at Phillip Island that he did not finish in the top three was on his first visit riding a 125cc machine in 1997 when he finished sixth. In 1998 and 1999 he won the 250cc races and since then has had nine podiums in the premier-class including five victories, the last of which was in 2005.

2024 Kawasaki KLX300/KLX300SM Review – First Ride

Mon, 18 Dec 2023

A winning formula gets even more… winning-er Photos: Kevin Wing Kawasaki’s media guy Brad Puetz (pronounced like the actor, though this Brad is not nearly as good looking or famous) said something that stuck with me. “Between the Versys 650 and this, these are the two bikes journalists tend to buy most from us.” As a previous Versys 650 owner – purchased from MO’s former Editorial Director Sean Alexander, and then passed down after me to another former MO staffer Tom Roderick, we can certainly attest to the first part. 2024 Kawasaki KLX300/KLX300SM Kawasaki has an unexpected success with the KLX300 and KLX300SM, so instead of massive changes for what's essentially an entry-level motorcycle, Kawasaki decided to make it look better.

Single-Cylinder Kawasaki Ninja Spotted in Indonesia

Tue, 31 Dec 2013

Based solely on recent history, you’d think the engineers at Kawasaki are strong believers of the “bigger is better” philosphy. You need only look at the Ninja ZX-6R which shook off the shackles of the 600cc supersport segment with a 636cc displacement, then came the Ninja 300 replacing the 250. New spy photos from Indonesia, however suggest there’s still room for smaller engines from Team Green.
