Purchased this late in 2006 when I turned 50 to race in the AMA District 37 Desert Series
Never raced the KX, it's been sitting in the garage 10 Years. Rode it a couple miles around 4 years ago
and parked it. Turn 60 this month, bike is too much for me

It's in pretty much mint condition
The previous owner (I'm the second) had Terry Varner tune and perform engine maintenance at that time
The previous owner rode it at two AMA District 38 events

The suspension and gearing is set up for Baja he said
When I rode the KX, it was very plush and soaked up the desert floor easily
When I test rode it, was 200 lbs

As it's been sitting, the tubes will hold air but gradually go down in pressure
The tires are in good shape

The carb and fuel tank will have to be cleaned out. I don't plan on doing this for the buyer
Buyer is welcome to clean out the tank and carburetor to start the bike, and  test ride on my 2.5 acres
with proof of life and health insurance and liability release.
It's fast and a hand full.

Noticed some of the fuel hoses will need to be replaced
Left fork seal is weeping
The right side radiator is seeping a bit, it may need repair
Two new radiators will go with the bike
Has an ELine carbon fiber pipe protector
Pro Circuit Exhaust
FMF Spark arrestor
Stock silencer included
Left fork slider guards is cracked
The airbox mud flap is worn

A fuel dump system will go with the bike.
The stock KX500 tank will go with the bike.
A new Excel Gold front 20" wheel, tire and disk will go with the bike

If Forward Air San Diego option is used in the United States (lower 48 States)
seller will remove fuel tank and ship it separately along with the stock tank and other included parts
The 20" wheel will be strapped to the skid (providing Forward Air allows).
No cost to ship the tanks separate, however a $15 dollar fee to ship the wheel separate from the bike

Real nice desert or dune bike or a clean low hour engine for a Service Kawasaki KX500 AF bike
The KX is for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early

No shipping, buyer will have to pick up the Kawasaki in Ridgecrest, California
or follow the pages in the book above
Will hold the bike for at least 30 days provided the bike is paid in full.
Titled and Non-Op California OHV Red sticker

Message me with questions
Hope this was at least entertaining
Seller not responsible for errors in the listing or spelling
The KX500 is also listed privately and reserve the right to end the auction early

Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

Ryan Villopoto ran mostly unchallenged for his fourth win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season, taking advantage of an early spill by Ryan Dungey. The win strengthens Villopoto’s hold on the points lead as the Kawasaki rider seeks his fourth-consecutive championship. Villopoto took the holeshot in the Houston main event and never looked back, leading all 20 laps for the win.
