Kawasaki KXF description

Note: will ship for an added $125.00 to total purchase price, via LTL Common Carrier in an inclosed crate attached to a pallet that will need to be unloaded by fork-lift or picked up @ the nearest freight terminal, within the US. Kawasaki credits new fuel injectors and revised ECU settings for the acceleration boost. The dual injection system includes an upstream and downstream injector, with the latter’s droplet size reduced slightly for 2015. Team Green’s PR promises the downstream injector revisions and ECU changes contribute to increased power in the low to mid-range, as well as improved response and aforementioned acceleration performance gains. The KX250F features three engine maps (Standard, Hard and Soft) via DFI coupler cap, and the ECU is fully programmable as well. Kawasaki also carries over the Launch Control system for its 250, which debuted on the 2014 model. 2015 Kawasaki KX250F Specifications: Engine: Liquid-cooled, four-stroke single with DOHC and four-valve cylinder head Displacement: 249cc Bore x stroke: 77.0 x 53.6mm Fuel injection: DFI with 43mm Keihin throttle body and dual injectors Compression ratio: 13.8:1 Ignition: Digital DC-CDI Transmission: Five-speed with wet multi-disc manual clutch Final drive: Chain Frame: Aluminum perimeter Rake & Trail: 28.7 degrees / 5 inch Front suspension: 48mm inverted Showa SFF telescopic fork with 40-way spring preload adjustability and 22-position compression and 20-position rebound damping adjustability, with 12.4 inches of travel Rear suspension: Uni-Trak linkage system and Showa shock with 19-position low-speed and 4-turns high-speed compression damping, 22-position rebound damping, fully adjustable spring preload, with 12.2 inches of travel Front tire: 80/100-21 Rear tire: 100/90-19 Front brake: Single semi-floating 270mm petal disc with dual-piston caliper Rear brake: Single 240mm petal disc with single-piston caliper Overall length: 85.4 inch Overall width: 32.3 inch Overall height: 50 inch Wheelbase: 58.1 inch Ground clearance: 13 inch Seat height: 37.2 inch Curb weight: 233.7 pounds Fuel capacity: 1.61 gallons Color: Lime Green MSRP: $7599

2014 World Supersport – Phillip Island Results

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

The 2014 World Supersport season opened in dramatic fashion after a red-flagged restart turned the 18-lap race into a five-lap sprint, with MV Agusta making a triumphant return to the top of the podium for the first time since 1976. The Supersport event began with a hard-fought battle between three-time champion Kenan Sofuoglu, Kev Coghlan and Michael van der Mark. Sofuoglu and his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R held a slim lead over Coghlan’s Yamaha R6 and van der Mark’s Honda CBR600RR when the race was halted after CIA Insurance Honda rider Jack Kennedy suffered an engine problem and leaked oil onto the track.

2024 Kawasaki KLX300/KLX300SM Review – First Ride

Mon, 18 Dec 2023

A winning formula gets even more… winning-er Photos: Kevin Wing Kawasaki’s media guy Brad Puetz (pronounced like the actor, though this Brad is not nearly as good looking or famous) said something that stuck with me. “Between the Versys 650 and this, these are the two bikes journalists tend to buy most from us.” As a previous Versys 650 owner – purchased from MO’s former Editorial Director Sean Alexander, and then passed down after me to another former MO staffer Tom Roderick, we can certainly attest to the first part. 2024 Kawasaki KLX300/KLX300SM Kawasaki has an unexpected success with the KLX300 and KLX300SM, so instead of massive changes for what's essentially an entry-level motorcycle, Kawasaki decided to make it look better.
