Kawasaki KLX description

2006 Kawasaki KLX110, Great Small Trail Bike! - The KLX110 is popular with youngsters who are just learning how to ride off-road motorcycles. It’s also popular with grown-ups who to love to hop on this tiny thumper to take it for a spin. That’s because the KLX110 stirs the same sense of excitement among adult riders as it does for kids – with its low seat height, four-stroke power and automatic clutch, it just begs to be ridden. Power for the KLX110 comes from a user-friendly 111 cc air-cooled, two-valve, four-stroke engine, and features a screw-type adjustable throttle limiter. This easily accessible feature allows parents to control the speed for younger riders. The engine’s tractable power is delivered to the rear knobby via an easy-shifting, semi-automatic three-speed transmission, complete with centrifugal clutch. Newer riders gain confidence quickly by focusing on steering and balance instead of clutch coordination. The frame for the KLX110 is constructed of high-tensile steel, and its race-bred styling and graphics will undoubtedly please young motocross fans. The compact fuel tank, seat, sporty shrouds and number plates were all plucked from Kawasaki’s smallest competition motocross machine, the popular KX65.

World Superbike racebikes will be required to have fake headlight stickers on their race fairings to more closely resemble their production series counterparts. The new regulation, set to kick in for the 2013 WSBK season, was designed to establish a closer link between the production model and the race-trim superbike. The new rules will also mandate 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Kawasaki is issuing a recall on the police-spec version of the 2009-2012 Concours 14 because the add-on equipment may overload the electrical system. Police motorcycles are typically loaded with accessories such as sirens, radio equipment, and additional lighting. To support these accessories.
