Kawasaki KLX description

2004 Kawasaki KLX125, . - The Kawasaki KLX125 off-road motorcycle and its big-wheeled sibling, the KLX125L, are specially built for youth riders ready to move up from Kawasakis fun-filled KLX110 to something a little bigger. Theyre also perfect for novice adult riders who like the confidence-inspiring low seat height and dependability of a Kawasaki. These easy-to-start off-road motorcycles, with their user-friendly four-stroke engines, share the same chassis and components but differ in wheel sizes and brakes. While the KLX125 sits on a 17-inch front wheel and 14-inch rear wheel, the taller KLX125L rests upon 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels. Plus, the KLX125 is fitted with drum brakes at both ends, while the KLX125L features a front disc brake and rear drum brake. Powered by a torquey and responsive air-cooled 125cc four-stroke single, both the KLX125 and KLX125L pump out plenty of rider-friendly power for off-road fun. The engine has been specially tuned for ample low and mid-range power and a smooth shifting five-speed transmission means theres a gear for every riding situation. A cable-operated manual clutch, along with a digital CD ignition for quick starts, makes this quiet-running motorcycle reliable and easy to operate.

Kawasaki Z1R.

Thu, 09 Dec 2010

These two beautiful Z1R Kawasakis appeared at the annual Mooneyes Yokohama Custom show last weekend. With one sporting a street/strip look (spot the belly-scraping ride height and rigid rear struts) and the other undergoing a sort of modernisation, they both reminded me just how handsome and unique the original slab-sided Z1R was.  Judging by some of the other wild and weird exhibits I made a mental note to myself: must make sure I'm in Japan this time next year.

Teaser: 2012 Japanese Literbike Shootout – Video

Thu, 29 Mar 2012

The last time we assembled the superbike offerings from the Big Four Japanese manufacturers to determine the alpha male model was 2009. The CBR won that confrontation, but a lot’s changed since then. For 2012 Honda revamped the CBR1000RR, Yamaha added traction control to the R1, the GSX-R1000 lost a muffler and last year Kawasaki introduced an all-new ZX-10R.

2014 WSBK – Aragon Results

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Reigning World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes put on a clinic this weekend, leading every lap in both races to claim a pair of wins at Spain’s Motorland Aragon circuit. Sykes’ Kawasaki teammate Loris Baz was right there with him, recording a pair of second-place podiums to give Team Green a pair of one-two finishes. Sykes and Baz were also one-two in the Superpole qualifying on this nearly flawless weekend for the Kawasaki factory team.
