2006 KLR 650 Near Mint condition!!!!! 2860 miles. Bike has a slip-on Jardine exhaust, K&N high flow air filter, and Dynojet stage 1 jet kit. Runs perfect. excellent throttle response with this set up. Also has MX style foot pegs.otherwise, bike is stock.This is the more sought after one for dirt riding because it doesn't have the big, cumbersome street fairing. Although, I don't think this bike has ever seen dirt! The bike is in fantastic condition and looks new. everything works as it should, and it rides great. also comes with a battery tender style charger with leads already attached, and the stock muffler. Mon, 05 Jan 2009In addition to Metallic Diablo Black, Sunbeam Red and Candy Thunder Blue, the 2009 Ninja 250R will be available in a Special Edition Lime Green and Metallic Diablo Black combination. The great-looking paint scheme of the new Special Edition Ninja 250R which features Kawi green with black side panels, echoes the MotoGP ZX-RR. This is a strange time to release such a bike since the British motorsports site Autosport.com recently reported that the Japanese manufacturer will announce its withdrawal from MotoGP racing on Jan.
US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
Isle of Man TT 2014: Bikenation Lightweight TT Results
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Dean Harrison won his first Isle of Man TT race, taking the three-lap Bikenation Lightweight TT by 14.6 seconds. Harrison took the lead early, having the fastest time through Glen Helen ahead of last year’s Lightweight TT winner James Hillier by about half a second. Harrison stretched the lead to 9.7 seconds by the end of the first lap.
