Kawasaki KH400 S3 tech info
Kawasaki KH400 S3 description
CLEAN, CLEAR PENNA. TITLE IN MY NAME!Be sure to read all the way to the bottom, as I'll probably be adding info during the listing. The bodywork has been painted, not to a concours standard by any means. The gas tank is clean inside. It has some lumps/bumps/unevenness on the right side. I think it has some bondo there, probably a result of the spill that's evident in damage to the brake pedal and the right pipes (see pics). Seat obviously needs to be recovered. Left side cover has a repaired crack at the top front corner. As you can see in the pics, the major chrome parts are really nice. The bars, fenders and wheel rims are pretty much like-new. The pipes are shiny, but have some dings and scrapes. Everything electrical works properly, as do the brakes. It starts right up and runs strongly and smoothly...EXCEPT FOR ONE MAJOR ISSUE. I bought this thinking it would be a modest money-maker, but it turned out I got hosed by a somewhat-less-than-honest seller. (Or hosed myself by not riding it before buying it.) It turned out that this "everything works, ready to ride" (from his CL ad) bike has a whining/chattering noise in 5th gear that doesn't sound good at all. Everything's fine in the 4 lower gears, but as soon as you shift into 5th you get the noise. I only rode it a couple miles. I have no idea what it is or what it will take to fix it. So now I'm just hoping to get my money back out of it. I figured Ebay was the best place to get whatever it might be worth, so here it is. If it sells for the opening bid, I break even monetarily after tax/title/Ebay fees. Now the legalese: A non-refundable deposit of $100 via PayPal is required within 24 hours of the auction's end. Remainder to be paid in cash on pickup or bank wire transfer. NO PAYPAL FOR THE TOTAL! This is being sold as "Local Pickup Only" - buyer is responsible for making and paying for any and all shipping arrangements. I will work with your shipper, and if necessary can haul/deliver it within about 200 miles for $1.00 per loaded mile. I can deliver it to AMA Vintage Days in Mid-Ohio for $250. (It's a 360-mile trip.) The time frame of the auction's end vs. my leaving for Mid-Ohio at oh-dark-thirty on Thurs. the 7th may complicate things if you DON'T want it delivered there, because I'll be unable to do any delivery/meeting-halfway, etc. next week. Ask any questions BEFORE bidding, please, and GOOD LUCK! |

Results From Day 1 Of World Supersport Testing At Phillip Island
Mon, 17 Feb 2014Despite losing the World Supersport title last year to a hard-charging Sam Lowes, Mahi Racing Team India’s Kenan Sofuoglu, aboard his Kawasaki ZX-6R, hasn’t lost any of the pace that has made him the overwhelming favorite heading into 2014. He topped the timesheets on the first day of testing at Phillip Island, setting a time of 1:33.521, putting him at near lap-record pace. Second on the day was Dutchman Michael van der Mark, aboard the Pata Honda CBR600RR.
More Teasers for the 2012 Kawasaki ZX-14R
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Kawasaki has released another teaser for its upcoming revised ZX-14, now dubbed ZX-14R. In the first video, a couple of numbers are cryptically displayed: 84 x 65mm. This is a thinly veiled reference to its bore and stroke dimensions, indicating the biggest Ninja received a 4mm stroke elongation, which would bump the bike’s displacement from 1352cc to 1441cc.
Put a sting in your 2010 Z1000's tail
Fri, 19 Feb 2010SCORPION has released an all-new new silencer for the 2010 Kawasaki Z1000. The slip-on silencer requires no additional modifications: bolt on and go.Consistent power improvements throughout the rev range have been seen, with no adjustments to the fuelling, say Scorpion, with an average increase 3bhp.The new silencer has been acoustically developed to provide a greatly enhanced engine note. This means the bike will be as loud as the original in terms of a dB reading, but the exhaust note offers a deeper growl. However, removable baffles allow the rider to dramatically alter the tone of the exhaust by simply removing one bolt per silencer.
