Kawasaki H1 description

*ATTENTION COLLECTORS* On offer is this 44 year old Kawasaki H1 500cc triple in all original, mint factory condition. This one could be the cornerstone of any Kawasaki collection. This is a matching numbers motorcycle with November 1972 build date. These 1973 500 triples featured the H2 750 bullet proof ignition units and where the only year to do so.

Seven years ago, I chose not to buy an abused, modified, or neglected example and then spend thousands in parts and time wasted trying to restore what I patiently waited to find.   I've taken great care not to detract from its originality. The metallic Lime Green factory OEM paint is absolutely gorgeous, especially in the sunlight! No dings in the pipes, pipes feature the original chrome and is mint! This bike features the original paint throughout and has never been re-painted or restored. The seat is also the original cover in mint condition. It has new Dunlop F11 Gold Seal front and Dunlop K87 Gold Seal rear tires that are difficult and expensive to source.  The bore is original and has great compression. It has not been rebuilt. I found a super rare NOS gauge cluster also a brand new wiring harness  that comes with the bike. Included are the original tool kit, owner's and warranty manuals, and shop manual.  I've had numerous requests for photos from collectors trying to restore their H1's recently.  This H1 is the best running triple that I've ever owned.

This bike also has a history as well.  This H1D won the best un-restored two-stroke class in 2008 when the famous two-stroke shop, Moto Carrera, held their annual Two-Stroke Extravaganza in Los Angeles. This bike was judged best in its category out of approximately 250 classic two strokes in attendance as "Best Unrestored Bike".  In May 2016, this bike was chosen to be displayed at the prestigious, 5 Star Quail Lodge Motorcycle Gathering at an event sponsored by Kawasaki held in Carmel, California.

A day-long, two-block party on Broadway, from West 45th to West 47th Streets, will celebrate the global debut of the new Ninjas with music, giveaways and celebrity guests. For those who cannot make it to the Big Apple, Kawasaki will be live streaming the “Ninja Times Square Takeover” on the Kawasaki.com website from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The world's best ZX-10R?

Wed, 04 May 2011

I'm taking inspiration from the Paul Bird Kawasaki squad and I'm making a few subtle mods to my 10R to make it look a little more like the WSB machine. I've started by ordering a Leo Vince exhaust. Not sure I can afford those Brembo calipers though...
