Kawasaki H1 500cc AUTHENTIC barn find! description
This is a second re-listing due to two non-paying bidders in a row. Folks, do yourself and me a favor........don't bid if ya don't plan on following through and meeting the terms of the auction, and paying, and paying ON TIME please.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have a 1974 Kawasaki 500 Mach III two-stroke motorcycle. You see a couple of pics of her in the barn, and then the rest after I cleaned her up. The older gentleman I got it from said it has been parked in that one spot since 1982, and it sure looked it. He said his nephew had hocked the bike to him all those years ago, and that the nephew had just recently died, so he decided to sell her. The last tag on her was an Arkansas tag of 1978. The odometer shows it just going into 3,000 miles, but who knows what is really on the bike? The rear sprocket show no mechanical wear to speak of, so that may be the real miles.......no telling. The bike has NO TITLE, and is being sold with two bills of sale only. I will give you a copy of the bill of sale from the fella I got it from, and give you an original bill of sale from me to you. The Ebay selector would not offer a selection of 'no title' on the icon, so I just punched in 'clear'. But, this is a 'Bill of Sale' auction only. I DO have an Arkansas State Police form 'Certification of VIN Inspection' filled out by law enforcement. It basically means that the vehicle is not stolen and that the VIN is authentic. If you live in Arkansas, it would help you with obtaining a title. I will include the original form with the bike. It is dated May 17, 2016. I am very far from real knowledgeable with these particular bikes. So, I will offer up some observations. If I am incorrect or deficient somehow in my description, feel very free to contact me to get me lined out. I would estimate it to be a good candidate for a restoration of one sort or another. It appears to me to just about be all there and original, except for a missing LHS cover, and the throttle sleeve. Obviously, she has some corrosion issues. The seat pan is very badly corroded all the way around its base rim. The frame looks to me to be in very good physical condition, but also has some light surface corrosion in places. The engine turns over and has good compression. The transmission goes through all it's gears. The clutch will pull, but is very stiff. All the rubber on the engine intake side needs replaced. The front of the engine has a lot of caked on dirt and oil just under the exhaust outlets. I don't know what may have caused that.........I think maybe the center cylinder had a bad exhaust leak by the looks of it. You see in the pics evidence of that. The electrics appears to be all there, except for a battery of course. The electrics need gone through of course. The tank is rusty on the inside, but does not leak. I put some diesel/motor oil mix in it and washed it around to try and slow the rust down, and seen it did not leak then. The is a small dent on the RHS near the front. It is pictured. It is about 3 inches across, and maybe 3/4 of an inch deep. It is pictured. The paint on the tank is pretty fair, but has a bit of corrosion in a few small spots. I did not take the tank off, so I don't know what it looks like underneath. The seat cover is all there, and the foam feels fine underneath........but like I say, the seat pan is a mess. The front brake is in-op. The rear one works. The VIN # on the frame is H1F-19031. The engine number is KAE89089. The bike rolls just fine, but of course does not run. Obviously, it needs a complete going through and restoration. The pipes/mufflers are in pretty good shape, except the RHS lower one appears to have been scrapped plenty on hard turns. It is dented in and flattened, but still appears to not leak there. There is a picture of that. Check out the pics carefully. I want you to know EXACTLY what you are getting and be very happy with your purchase. Check out my feedback. I will treat you right. It has some original Kawasaki tools with it, but I did not get a pic of them. The tool pouch is missing. It has one key with it, which turns the ignition switch just fine. NO WARRANTY of any kind is provided for. The bike is completely un-roadworthy and needs a restoration. I would prefer a local pick-up, but am willing to ship world-wide IF you take care of all cost, make all the arrangements, incur all the associated cost, and incur all the risk. It can be picked up here by a shipper, or I am willing to haul it to Fort Smith, Arkansas to a shipper for a $75 fee. My hometown is about 40 miles SE of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Please feel VERY free to ask me any questions. Please get complete clarification before bidding. I would be happy to speak to you by phone if you like. You are welcome to come and look at her before bidding. I need a $500 deposit (NON-REFUNDABLE) via PayPal within 24 hours of auctions close. I expect the remaining payment within 7 days of auctions close, whether it is picked up by then or not. I am willing to hold and store the bike here for 21 days. I will accept a check or money order (with time to clear). Or cash at the time of pick-up (IF picked up within 7 days). No other methods accepted. FOLKS........let me be PERFECTLY clear......if are the winning bidder and don't make a deposit as prescribed, I will turn you in as a non-paying bidder. If you make the deposit, and then don't pay ON TIME, and will not reply to a message asking for information as to WHERE the payment is, and cannot give me a tracking number of the final payment.........the auction will be considered in default and I WILL KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT. I will accept no 'Buy it Now' offers. This is a 7 day auction and has no reserve, with a starting bid of $2,000. NO BIDS accepted from purchasers with fewer than 5 feedbacks. And no bids accepted from folks that have a poor feedback rating as far as purchase payment history. Such bids will be removed. Thank you very much for looking and bidding!! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!! |
Ninja H2 Video XVI – High Precision Machinery + Video
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Yes, folks, Kawasaki has released yet another teaser video for the Ninja H2. This time, it’s number 16, titled, “Beauty in High Precision.” In it, we see the impeller for the supercharger being created from a solid piece of billet aluminum. Admittedly, this inundation of H2 videos is getting to be a bit much, even for us, but if you’re a fan of machine porn, then Kawasaki’s latest video will surely please.
Lascorz smiling in first post-crash photo
Mon, 02 Jul 2012Nearly three months on since Joan Lascorz's accident in the post-race test at Imola, the first image has appeared showing the Spaniard in good spirits whilst he undergoes rehabilitation. The terrible crash left the 27-year-old factory Kawasaki rider with a fracture to his C6 vertebrae, and fears that it would leave him quadriplegic. Fortunately, as shown in the picture with his raised arm, Lascorz has recovered full sensitivity in his upper limbs.
