Under the Skin of a KTM RC8 R-Powered Sidecar Racer
Thu, 23 May 2013If you’ve never seen a sidecar race, you’d be amazed at how different it is from motorcycle racing. Not only do you have some entirely different physics at work with the third wheel, you also have a passenger sprawled over the chassis behind the rider, sticking his body out to either side at lean angles that would make Marc Marquez break a sweat. EICMA 2012: KTM Unleashes the Beast with 1290 Super Duke R Prototype
Tue, 13 Nov 2012Last week, KTM teased its new large-displacement naked prototype, revealing a brief glimpse and an audio recording of the engine on the so-called “beast”. KTM has now revealed the beast, presenting the new 1290 Super Duke R prototype at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy. Due to launch some time in 2013, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R will top a full line of naked Duke models which includes the 125, 200, newly revealed 390, 690 and 990.
New: MIVV exhausts for KTM Duke 125 and 200
Thu, 12 Sep 2013Italian exhaust manufacturer MIVV have produced three new slip-on exhausts to fit the Duke 125 and Duke 200. They offer small power gains and save around 1.5kg off the stock exhaust. We like the Ghibli, pictured above.
