2013 KTM Sx 250, 2013 KTM 250 SX Original owner (bike bought new 12/31/12), < 12 hrs total running time. All modifications below added after initial break in. FMF Fatty Pipe and Power Core II Silencer EK O-ring chain (installed before break in) Michelin MS3 Starcross tires (soft to intermediate terrain) Fork speed bleeders installed Race Tech Gold Valve Suspension (revalved by Ronnie Monk , 30 second affair. Air filter cleaned and tranny fluid changed after each ride. Fuel & oil used: Sunoco 110/Motul 800 2T e with bike include: o Owners Manual o KTM Basic tool kit o KTM tuning kit (includes pilot and main jets, needles and power valve springs) Needle clip (2) Carb float bowl screws (4) o Front and rear tubes (1 each) o Seat and side panel bolts (4) o Twin Air filters (2) o Filter cage (1) o KTM aluminum anodized folding sag scale o KTM fork tool (fork cap/cartridge rod holder) o Stock KTM pipe and silencer o Header pipe O-rings (4) o Pipe/Silencer junction rubber seal (1) o Stock Dunlop Geomax 51 front and rear tires, plenty of wear left Comments: bike is fast & has been properly jetted for pipe & silencer install, hydraulic clutch will spoil you. Top Gear Live to Attempt “Deadly 720″ Double Loop-the-Loop on KTM 250 SX-F

Automotive program “Top Gear” and KTM are teaming up to attempt the world’s first double loop-the-loop on a motorcycle. The stunt, using a 2013 KTM 250 SX-F, follows a similar stunt “Top Gear” completed from June called the “Deadly 720” that saw a successful double loop-the-loop in a car in Durban, South Africa, a first for a four-wheeled vehicle recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records (look for the video after the jump.) The attempt at a two-wheeled Deadly 720 will take place as part of the Top Gear Live show, Oct. 25-28 in Birmingham, U.K.

First impressions are everything so the gearbox niggles on the first RC8s meant I didn’t become an instant fan. There was never a problem for normal road riding but when the pace was increased on track days false neutrals were found and gears were missed. Ironically I might have been able to help here as KTM signed me up for pre-production shakedown testing before I got sidelined with appendicitis.
