“PENTON: The John Penton Story” Trailer + Video

Fans of off-road racing will be happy to hear that after nearly six years, the public can see a sneak peak of the film “PENTON: The John Penton Story” with the newly released trailer featuring John Penton, his hall of fame family and a few of the motorcycle industry legends that were interviewed for the film. The nearly four-minute trailer teases the entire film and specific stories the audience will get to see in the final film when it opens in theaters on June 20th. Scored by the film’s composer and music editor Chris Brady, the trailer features: John Penton along with his sons Jack, Jeff and Tom.

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.

Dakar Rally 2012 Results – Despres Wins Fourth Dakar

Cyril Despres beat his teammate Marc Coma to win his fourth Dakar Rally, while KTM captured its 11th consecutive win in the 33rd running of the off-road race. Despres won three stages and finished the 5,214-mile race in South America in a total time of 43 hours, 28 minutes and 11 seconds. Despres crossed the finish in Lima, Peru, with a lead of 53 minutes and 20 seconds ahead of his fellow Red Bull KTM rider Coma.
