Garage kept and adult driven. This bike is in immaculate condition, not a single scratch. Last summer I replaced the battery and original tires with Michelin Pilot 3's.All service is complete and up to date as per the KTM service Manual. Great touring bike with lots of storage options. I mostly used it for commuting back and fourth to Manhattan as she gets about 37 MPG. I can deliver within 50 miles. Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella
Fri, 10 May 2013A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure. He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope. He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat. Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why. Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy. I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.
Rossi’s Brother Luca Marini Tests Aspar Team Moto3 Racer
Mon, 18 Nov 2013Valentino Rossi‘s half-brother Luca Marini took part in the official test at Spain’s Valencia circuit, riding the Aspar Team‘s KTM-powered Kalex Moto3 racebike. Marini will race for the Aspar Team at the final round of the Moto3 class in Spain’s CEV championship next weekend at Jerez as part of an arrangement between Aspar Team and Rossi’s VR46 Riders Academy. Next season, Marini will compete full time in the CEV for Aspar.
Top Gear Live Completes Double Loop-the-Loop on KTM 250 SX-F – Video
Tue, 30 Oct 2012The Top Gear Live Stunt Team completed the first ever double loop-the-loop on a motorcycle, with rider Gary Hoptrough successfully navigating the two 26-foot loops on a KTM 250 SX-F. Look for the video after the jump. Hoptrough completed the “Deadly 720″ stunt in front of an audience of 4000 as part of the live touring version of the BBC series “Top Gear” at the Birmingham NEC in the U.K.
