KTM Issues Fuel Hose Recall on 7000 Motorcycles

KTM is issuing a worldwide recall on approximately 7000 motorcycles from model year 2012 and 2013 for potential fuel hose leaks. The recall affects certain EXC, EXC-F, XC-F, XC-W, XCF-W, Freeride, SX-F,  and Supermoto R models with electronic fuel injection. (See after the jump for specific models included in the recall.) According to KTM, a defect in the manufacturing process of the molded fuel hoses on affected models may lead to a fuel leak either at the ends or where the hoses bend.

Visordown mag, issue 2 just landed

The latest issue of Visordown mag just arrvied in the office, fresh from the printers. And it's looking great! This month we've got the new KTM 990SMT up against Suzuki's Kayabusa, Honda's VFR800 and BMW's K1300GT - which one is the daddy for sports touring?

Duke-Based 2015 200 KTM Supermoto Spied

KTM is following-up its small-displacement naked Duke and RC sportbike models with a new line of supermotos based off of the same platform. As with the Duke and RC models, we should expect KTM to offer supermotos in 125, 200 and 390 versions, all sharing similar engines and frames. A test mule of what appears to be a KTM 125 or 200 Supermoto prototype was spotted fueling up somewhere in Europe and from the photograph (see below for a larger version) above we can see a swingarm, ten-spoke wheels and trellis frame that appear identical to those on the Duke.
