New KTM 1290 Super Adventure Gets Active Cruise Control

The Austrians are testing a prototype of an upgraded large "nomad", which will receive an unprecedented electronic system. The design of the front of the modern Super Adventure a la “giant mutant insect” still raises questions from the faithful fans, and the closer it gets to the presentation of the new features the more concerns there will be - a huge slot will appear below between the headlights. KTM Fines MX2 Factory Racer Jeffrey Herlings for Bad Behavior – Video

KTM has issued a fine and a warning to its own factory motocross racer Jeffrey Herlings for “certain behavioral issues” from the past two MX2 World Championship rounds. Herlings currently leads the MX2 World Championship standings, winning five of seven rounds including eight of 14 motos. KTM did not specify exactly what Herlings did, but the tipping point was dropping the F-bomb on live television in a post-race interview.

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
