2014 KTM 350 XCF-W, 2014 KTM 350 XCF-W BEST IN CLASS The 350 XCF-W is the ultimate machine when optimum rideability and maximum enduro performance are called for. Thanks to its compact, powerful DOHC engine, its low weight and its perfectly tuned suspension, this machine masters each and every tough spot in cross-country riding with ease and poise. Maximum fun factor guaranteed. Features Frame The modern and lightweight frame design made of high-strength chromoly steel sections combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional ridigty. It guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, but also outstanding stability. In 2014, the frame of the 4-stroke weighs even less thanks to thinner walled down tubes. In addition, the braces that connect the cylinder head were optimized. This means all new frames not only have a striking new color but also set the clear benchmark with respect to weight and stability. Fuel tank All fuel tanks are made of lightweight polythene. The 4-stroke models are fitted with fuel pumps and pressure regulators. The release mechanism of the bayonet filler cap has been optimized so the cap can be opened quicker and easier. Triple clamps The lower triple clamp has been redesigned for optimum accomodation of the new front fender. Thanks to its new contour and mounting with two front and two bottom bolts, the new fender has a lot more stability. Suspension/Damping The first rate WP Suspension elements have been further improved for 2014. Specially designed for enduro riding and in some models with an optimized tuning, they ensure maximum traction and plenty of comfort. Of course, compression and rebound damping can be adjusted to the track conditions and the rider's preferences with a twist of the wrist - the rear monoshock has separate high and low speed adjustments.

AMA Hall of Fame 2012 Induction Class
Mon, 19 Nov 2012The AMA Hall of Fame added seven new members to its ranks at a Nov. 16 ceremony at the Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa during the AMA Legends Weekend. The 2012 class included the late KTM America president Rod Bush; race tuner Nobby Clark; off-road racer Ty Davis; 1975 AMA Supercross Champion Jimmy Ellis; female motocrosser Sue Fish; motorcycle restorer Brian Slark and the late “Airborne Al” Wilcox, the iconic race starter.
Day 2 Dakar 2014: Sunderland Wins First Special Stage
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Honda won the second day of competition with Team HRC’s Sam Sunderland claiming victory in the first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Sunderland has had a frustrating time at previous Dakars, dropping out after three days of racing in 2012 and withdrawing a month before last year’s event due to fracturing both his wrists. Today, however, Sunderland made a grand entrance into the club of elite riders by brilliantly winning his first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Having started well behind his teammate, Joan Barreda, the 23-year old Brit superbly overtook Michael Metge and Juan Pedrero on the first part of the route.
