2014 KTM 350 XCF-W, 2014 KTM 350 XCF-W BEST IN CLASS The 350 XCF-W is the ultimate machine when optimum rideability and maximum enduro performance are called for. Thanks to its compact, powerful DOHC engine, its low weight and its perfectly tuned suspension, this machine masters each and every tough spot in cross-country riding with ease and poise. And thanks to its playful handling, it always holds the advantage when the going gets tough. The longer the distance, the more the rider benefits from this, pros and beginners alike. Maximum fun factor guaranteed. Features Frame The modern and lightweight frame design made of high-strength chromoly steel sections combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional ridigty. It guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, but also outstanding stability. In 2014, the frame of the 4-stroke weighs even less thanks to thinner walled down tubes. In addition, the braces that connect the cylinder head were optimized. This means all new frames not only have a striking new color but also set the clear benchmark with respect to weight and stability. Fuel tank All fuel tanks are made of lightweight polythene. The 4-stroke models are fitted with fuel pumps and pressure regulators. The release mechanism of the bayonet filler cap has been optimized so the cap can be opened quicker and easier. Triple clamps The lower triple clamp has been redesigned for optimum accomodation of the new front fender. Thanks to its new contour and mounting with two front and two bottom bolts, the new fender has a lot more stability. Suspension/Damping The first rate WP Suspension elements have been further improved for 2014. Specially designed for enduro riding and in some models with an optimized tuning, they ensure maximum traction and plenty of comfort. Of course, compression and rebound damping can be adjusted to the track conditions and the rider's preferences with a twist of the wrist - the rear monoshock has separate high and low speed adjustments.

2022 KTM 1290 Super Duke GT First Look
Tue, 23 Nov 2021Euro 5 updates and new turn-by-turn navigation system for the GT Credit: Photos by Sebas Romero and KISKA GmbH KTM isn’t officially at EICMA, but that didn’t stop the Austrian manufacturer from getting in on the fun, announcing an updated 1290 Super Duke GT for 2022. The GT receives a number of updates first introduced on the current Super Duke R, including its Euro 5-rated 1301cc V-Twin engine that claims a peak output of 175 hp and 104 lb-ft. The Super Duke GT also gets the naked bike’s CAD-designed five-spoke wheels that KTM claims weigh 2.2 pounds lighter than the previous GT’s wheels.

Wed, 31 May 2023It had been quite a while since I last rode a multi-cylinder KTM on a racetrack – all the way back to 2011 and the Red Bull-sponsored factory RC8R 1200cc V-twin on which Martin Bauer was victorious in that year’s IDM German Superbike Championship, with teammate Stefan Nebel third. That was a key moment in the Austrian dirtbike specialist’s climb up the ladder to equal status with the likes of Honda and Ducati in the road racing pantheon, and showed that orange was a color to be reckoned with on-road as well as off it. KTM invited Alan Cathcart to join 30 customers to pick up their new RC 8Cs in Valencia and hobnob with the likes of Jeremy McWilliams, Mika Kallio, and Brad Binder.

It must be, if this Enduro-Cross-style prologue to the four-day race is any indication. Here, we ride along with KTM Factory rider Johnny Walker (definitely one of the coolest names in motorsports) as he makes riding through balance beams, wall rides and a brutal tree stump pit look like child’s play, while the rest of the field wonders why they even bothered getting out of bed that morning.
