2013 KTM 85 SX, 2013 KTM 85 SX THE LITTLE BIG ONE The 2013 KTM 85 SX is the motorcycle that will change the 85cc class with its completely revamped chassis, new bodywork and a further refined, more powerful engine, it's more competitive than ever before. Features: Suspension travel and damping Up front, there's a 43mm upside down fork with 270mm of travel, while a revised PDS monoshock on the rear now provides even better traction and optimum surface contact. Both are made by renowned supplier WP Suspension. Of course, rebound and compression damping can be adjusted separately for a quick and precise set-up to match the track and rider. Chassis The proven 43mm upside down fork with 270mm of suspension travel and the rear PDS monoshock ensure optimum traction and suspension comfort on the KTM 85 SX. Rebound and compression damping can be adapted individually to track and rider. Handlebar The 85 SX is has a super-strong, tapered Renthal handlebar made of high-quality aluminium alloy whose bend is perfect for motocross requirements. Duke-Based 2015 200 KTM Supermoto Spied

KTM is following-up its small-displacement naked Duke and RC sportbike models with a new line of supermotos based off of the same platform. As with the Duke and RC models, we should expect KTM to offer supermotos in 125, 200 and 390 versions, all sharing similar engines and frames. A test mule of what appears to be a KTM 125 or 200 Supermoto prototype was spotted fueling up somewhere in Europe and from the photograph (see below for a larger version) above we can see a swingarm, ten-spoke wheels and trellis frame that appear identical to those on the Duke.

KTM Announces 2013 Factory Team, Bids Farewell to Cyril Despres

(ED: Updated with a message from Cyril Despres.) KTM introduced its 2013 Rally Racing team while bidding farewell to five-time Dakar Rally winner Cyril Despres. Despres won all five of his Dakar victories with KTM, winning in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013. He leaves the team to pursue a new challenge, with Honda rumored to be seeking his services for its newly-revived rally racing program.

KTM knows a lot not only about tourenduro or supermoto - in its history there was an unforgettable sportbike 1190 RC8, and now there is a nimble “shorty” RC390. Each RC390R features a fully adjustable WP suspension, a different handlebar for a more racing fit, folding clutch and brake levers, and a modified engine intake tract.
