Ultra-compact, with 57.5 mm (2.264 in) stroke and 88 mm (3.46 in) bore, and equipped with state-of-the-art electronic fuel injection, the engine offers a broad usable rev range. This delivers extremely efficient rideability and controllable traction on all terrain.Features:Fuel tankAll fuel tanks are made of lightweight polythene. The 4-stroke models are fitted with fuel pumps and pressure regulators. The release mechanism of the bayonet filler cap has been optimized so the cap can be opened quicker and easier.BodyworkShrouds, airbox cover, front fender, headlight fairing and the headlight have all been restyled for 2013. The KTM designer's focus was to achieve complete ergonomic harmony between rider and bike for a more stable ride and effortless movement on the bike. EICMA 2011 Preview: 2012 KTM 690 Duke
Mon, 31 Oct 2011KTM has released a video teasing its redesigned 690 Duke, which is set to make its debut at the 2011 EICMA show. The 2012 690 Duke will be powered by what KTM claims is the world’s most powerful Single-cylinder engine in production, with output expected to be close to 70hp. Updates include a side-mounted exhaust instead of the previous version’s underslung silencer, ABS, ride-by-wire throttle and weight savings from a new manufacturing process for the structural fairing and subframe.
The Austrians block the choke hold

According to the new EU requirements, the motorcycle engine now meets the strict environmental requirements of Euro-4 and a couple of innovations were added to the design. The redesigned exhaust system will now end with a classic muffler facing the right side of the bike.
