2013 KTM 250 XC-F, NEW DEMO 2013 KTM 250 XC-F HANDLING MIRACLE WITH AN ALL-NEW ENGINE The new generation KTM 250 XC-F appears with a completely new, even lighter engine and an updated injection system. In other words: a performance package that will redefine the 250 class. Together with a new frame and new bodywork, the new 2013 KTM 250 XC-F is a winning bike that will dominate the 250 class. Features may include: Bodywork In shaping the bodywork, the KTM designers ergonomic and design focus was to achieve complete harmony between rider and bike, down to the finest details. The front fender is a prime example of a moulded polymer component gaining maximum stability through a well thought-out structure and mounting. XC models come with hand guards and side stand. Graphics A new, refined graphic design with clear lines underlines the high demands made of a modern, state-of-the-art offroad motorcycle. Handlebar All SX & XC models are fitted with the super strong, tapered Renthal Fatbar 827 whose bend is especially well suited to the requirements of racing. The proven standard KTM mount allows to fix the handlebar in four different positions. A large Renthal bar pad in a classy combination of black and silver, offers effective crash protection for the rider. Fuel tank All models of the XC range have high capacity translucent fuel tanks for cross country racing. The XC's have a new 1/4 turn fuel cap with an improved opening mechanism to make fueling during a race even easier Seat Ergonomically perfect, the seat has received an improved foam core, ensuring greater comfort and durability.

With three different racers tasting victory in the first three rounds of the 2014 AMA Supercross Championship, the season was shaping up to be one of the deepest and most competitive fields we’ve seen. But at Round Four at O.o Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., Ryan Villopoto showed why he remains the top dog, leading each lap for his second win of the season. The Kawasaki rider only trailed at the very start of the race, as Honda rider Vince Friese took the holeshot with Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton slotting in second through the first corner.

2013 KTM Moto3 250 GPR Production Racer Available for Sale

KTM has begun accepting orders for a production racer version of its 250cc Moto3 World Championship race bike. The production racer will be available in February 2013 though orders will be accepted from July 1 to Oct. 1 of 2012 for 45,000 euros (US$55,400).

If you read motorcycle magazines - and even road tests on polished websites like this one (!) - you'll be used to seeing pictures of bike journos hamming it up for the camera. Yes they look slick as they kiss another apex, crest another rise with the front wheel pawing the air (those clichés are TM BIKE magazine by the way). But you don't often get to see anything 'behind the scenes'.
