2013 KTM 150 XC, 2013 KTM 150 XC ULTRA-EASY HANDLING The 150 XC is the ultimate cross-country bike for those seeking ultra-easy handling, minimum weight plus low maintenance costs No one can ride the 2013 KTM 150 XC and say it isn't the most fun they've had in a long time. But don't kid yourself, the 150 XC is an agressive competitor in the woods. The 150 appears even more aggressive now with new bodywork and significantly revamped suspension. You can't go wrong here. Features: Air box At the same time, the revised design of the airbox guarantees optimum protection of the air filter from dirt plus maximum air throughput for the highest performance. New airbox covers are manufactured in a 2-component process with new in-mould graphics. The fixing for the left cover has been further improved to enable even quicker replacement of the twin-air filter, which is held more securely in place with an optimised clasp. And the filter can still be replaced without any tools. Furthermore, two additional tabs on the cover allow it to be secured with bolts if desired. Handlebar All XC models are equipped with the extremely sturdy, tapered Renthal Fatbar 827 handlebar that features an offset specially designed to meet the demands of motocross. In accordance with the proven KTM standard, the handlebar can be fixed in a choice of four positions. A large Renthal crash pad, still in classy black/silver for 2013, provides the rider with effective impact protection. Bodywork Spoiler, airbox cover and front fender, including headlight mask and headlight, have all been restyled for 2013. In doing so, we focussed on designing the new bodywork ergonomically and functionally in such a way that the whole motorcycle is in perfect harmony with the rider down to the very last detail. But other aspects have also been considered. For example, the designers ensured there is no ribbing whatsoever on the inside of the new front fender, thereby preventing mud build-up. Nevertheless, thanks to its skilfully selected contour and its modified attachment to the lower triple clamp, the new fender is up to 50% stiffer than its predecessor. Graphics A new, refined graphic design with clear lines underlines the high demands made of a modern, state-of-the-art offroad motorcycle.

Heavy rains made the Ricky Carmichael-designed track in Daytona’s tri-oval section even more difficult than the GOAT conceived, with the terrain rough, choppy and rutted. Series point leader Ryan Villopoto became an early casualty of the track conditions, sliding outon the second corner.
