The Differences Between KTM’s Duke Engines
Fri, 25 Jan 2013KTM set a new company record with 107,142 motorcycles sold in 2012, with a lot of credit given to strong demand for its small-displacement naked Duke line. The 125 Duke and 200 Duke have been popular sellers in Europe while Indian consumers accounted for more than 8000 units of the 200 Duke alone. KTM will try to maintain its momentum with its new 390 Duke, not to mention the 690 Duke R and the upcoming 1290 Super Duke R which was unveiled in prototype form at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan as the eventual successor to the 990 Super Duke.
Top Gear Live to Attempt “Deadly 720″ Double Loop-the-Loop on KTM 250 SX-F
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Automotive program “Top Gear” and KTM are teaming up to attempt the world’s first double loop-the-loop on a motorcycle. The stunt, using a 2013 KTM 250 SX-F, follows a similar stunt “Top Gear” completed from June called the “Deadly 720” that saw a successful double loop-the-loop in a car in Durban, South Africa, a first for a four-wheeled vehicle recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records (look for the video after the jump.) The attempt at a two-wheeled Deadly 720 will take place as part of the Top Gear Live show, Oct. 25-28 in Birmingham, U.K.
2022 KTM RC390 Review - First Ride
Mon, 04 Apr 2022A more focused lightweight sportbike Credit: Photos by Casey Davis Since its debut in 2015, the KTM RC390 has represented the pointed end of the lightweight sportbike spectrum. Aggressive in its styling, and dedicated to its Ready to Race brand promise, the RC390 has always been pitched as a fun little track bike that also happens to be street-legal with enough comfort for daily duty. This has caused the little KTM to be lauded with praise at the track in our previous comparisons, but at the same time, that attitude has caused the Kawasaki Ninja 400 to come out on top as a better well-rounded motorcycle in our last two comparisons.
