For sale is my 2008 KTM 450 EXC-R bike, electric and kick start. Registered, insured, fully street legal from factory, and title in hand. Bike has approx 2,700 mis (108 hours) on it but may go up slightly since I still ride it on weekends when ever I get a chance. I can deliver or meet within a reasonable distance for serious buyers.-I have all papers, receipts, and service records for the bike since brand new.-GPR Steering Stabilizer-Rekluse clutch-JD Jet Kit-Cooling Fan-Skid Plate-Siccass flush tail light and blinkers-New Protaper chain-New DOT dirt tires (balanced)-2nd DOT set of tires that I changed for more aggressive dirt ones on it now. Motorcycle Stability Control Retrofit Now Available for 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure
Tue, 18 Feb 2014As promised, KTM has made available the new Motorcycle Stability Control system as a retrofit kit for 2013 1190 Adventure and Adventure R models. The 1190 Adventure models are the first motorcycles to be equipped with the MSC system from Bosch. MSC works with the 1190′s combined antilock braking and traction control systems, allowing both rider assist aids even when leaned over.
2013 KTM Freeride 350 Gets CARB and EPA Approval
Wed, 20 Mar 2013The KTM Freeride 350 has cleared emission certification testing in the U.S. including the state of California, getting approval from both the Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board. A leaked powerpoint slide from KTM’s North American dealer meeting in 2011, listed the Freeride 350 for 2013 and they may still happen.
Helen Kurt Caselli Send-Off Attracts Thousands
Fri, 20 Dec 2013In a touching tribute to Kurt Caselli, one of America’s brightest off-road racing stars, who tragically lost his life in a crash while competing in the Baja 1000, a gathering of over 2000 people descended upon Glen Helen Raceway to pay their final respects in a rolling tribute. The line of cars stretching back to the nearby freeway was a fitting reminder of just how many lives Caselli touched and how important a figure he was to many. Caselli’s KTM crew and teammates were just some of the many who came to pay their respects and take a ride-out in Kurt’s honor with his mom Nancy and fiancée Sarah at the head of the vast pack of motorcyclists. Motocrossers like Dean Wilson, Blake Baggett, Cole Seely and then other luminaries like AMA Superbike racer Chris Fillmore and off-roaders like Destry Abbott were part of the group.
