2007 Ktm 990 Super Duke, AWSOME PERFORMANCE, FULL EXHAUST, COME CHECK THIS OUT.. - You can barely find words to express the riding fun and the feeling that the KTM 990 Super Duke gives you when it’s in motion. Just as KTM re-invented the Streetfighter, you try to invent new words for what happens beneath you curve after curve. The KTM 990 Super Duke sweeps through curves – ultra-precise, radical and agile. The landscape flies past fast, faster, much too fast. You feel the road, the centrifugal force and want more.

Carbon Fibre race bikes, and a KTM makes it debut on the BSB Motostar rostrum
Tue, 26 Jun 2012Many think Carbon Fibre chassis are relatively new to motorcycle racing but I can lay claim to having been there and done that almost thirty years ago. I first rode a Carbon/Kevlar 250cc Armstrong in 1983 before going on to grab four British titles and pretty much every national lap record over the next three years. I also had some top ten 250cc Grand Prix finishes although I was totally gutted when my team mate Donnie McLeod topped me by finishing 2nd in the Belgian GP at Spa.
Having a blast on the KTM Duke 125
Fri, 30 Sep 2011With young Taylor finally lifting my riding ban from his 125 Duke last week (I snapped the gear lever off in a failed garden stunt), I’ve been clocking up a few miles on what surely is the ‘must have’ learner bike of 2011. Last week I hopped aboard for a jaunt into the heart of Leicester where you can still park bikes for free then walk to all the major shops in minutes. I needed to appear in person at the main Post Office for an International Driving Permit as I found out without one; I couldn’t drive during my trip up coming trip to the Japanese Grand Prix.

Mon, 06 Sep 2010It was good to catch up with my old mate Daryl Beattie last weekend in Misano. Daryl was pushing Mick Doohan hard for the 500cc World Championship in 1995 until he high sided and broke his collar bone in Assen mid way through the year. He eventually finished runner up in the series but then some fairly big tumbles from his Lucky Strike Suzuki in 1996 brought his career to a premature end.
