KTM Other description
2003 KTM 450 , This is an exceptionally maintained street legal 2003 KTM 450 EXC set up for street. Licensed in PA. Please read full description - a lot into this bike!... Bike has approx. 5,000 miles, give or take 400 miles. I am the third owner. This bike has NEVER BEEN CRASHED OR WRECKED IN ANY WAY. ALL owners were/are adults, not hooligan riding kids (no offence to the hooligan riders to each their own). Bike was ridden ONE season on/off road, but has been on the road only since that first season after being converted with light package and street tires. Last year the previous owner started upgrading, as did I . SERVICING: This bike has just had a full service in June by an authorized KTM Service Center. The servicing was detailed & thorough. The KTM service mechanic said this EXC is top notch in his own words (see details below). General appearance / reliability: This bike is very nice in appearance and you will see it is in EXCELLENT well cared for condition. Mechanically, it IS about perfect. This bike starts, idles and runs ALWAYS. Never a problem. I have ridden down to 33 degree mornings and I dont even use the choke. PERFECTLY reliable, FAST and a blast to ride. From the first season of some off-road use, there are some small expected dings and a small frame dent under frame, but that is it. Nothing you can even see unless under it. No case or radiator hits in any way again, minimal use off road. OK, in addition to an already perfect running EXC, here are additions and $$ upgrades. Having a blast on the KTM Duke 125
Fri, 30 Sep 2011With young Taylor finally lifting my riding ban from his 125 Duke last week (I snapped the gear lever off in a failed garden stunt), I’ve been clocking up a few miles on what surely is the ‘must have’ learner bike of 2011. Last week I hopped aboard for a jaunt into the heart of Leicester where you can still park bikes for free then walk to all the major shops in minutes. I needed to appear in person at the main Post Office for an International Driving Permit as I found out without one; I couldn’t drive during my trip up coming trip to the Japanese Grand Prix.
