KTM Other description

2002 Ktm 50 SX Pro Senior LC, Get them started young! - KTM s line of Sportminicycles have been revolutionized for 2002. Changes are evident throughout the line starting with with the Adventure Series which receives an all new new air cooled Beta motor. Besides the air cooled Beta engines, all Adventure models come equipped with all new Marzocchi forks and triple clamps that look like the full size KTM 2-stroke. In fact the 2002 KTM Sportmini range emulates the full size KTM s more than ever before, including the same graphic and design changes. Two other models standout for the major changes they received in 2002. The 50 SX Pro Junior LC —a mirror image of the SR model that includes the awesome Beta liquid cooled 50cc engine, but with a lower seat height, shorter wheelbase, shorter suspension and the same updated frame as the Pro Sr. And last but not least the all new 65 SX. The most dominant mini in the 65 class for the last three years, the 65SX receives a complete makeover with all new Up Side Down Marzocchi forks, a hydraulic clutch, removable subframe, numerous motor improvements and dramatic new styling like the full size 125 SX .

It was good to catch up with my old mate Daryl Beattie last weekend in Misano. Daryl was pushing Mick Doohan hard for the 500cc World Championship in 1995 until he high sided and broke his collar bone in Assen mid way through the year. He eventually finished runner up in the series but then some fairly big tumbles from his Lucky Strike Suzuki in 1996 brought his career to a premature end.

Sheepish Maverick Vinales Returns to Blusens, Issues Apology

Tue, 23 Oct 2012

A contrite Maverick Vinales has returned to the Blusens Avintia Moto3 team days after his brash, and admittedly hasty departure at this past weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix. The FTR Honda rider quit the Blusens team on Oct. 10, returning home from Sepang without once hitting the track.

Splashing through the summer on my RC8R

Wed, 18 Jul 2012

For sure the wet summer has curtailed my intentions of using my RC8R at every opportunity. That said I've had a fair amount mixed weather track time around the UK which has helped me bond with the big KTM. I've found riding at tighter twistier tracks like Oulton and Knockhill are more satisfying as the low down grunt and quick handling means you can stay with pretty much anything.
