KTM Other description
1983 KTM 504 NO RESERVE You Bid - You Buy Up for sale is my 1983 KTM 504 that I bought locally over the summer and rode once. I also rode it for about 15-20 minutes before doing this listing. It makes tire trenching power, idles, accelerates, shifts, and stops like it should. No smoke. The bike was set up for racing by an older gentleman years ago and it does have a Fox twin clicker rear shock. Both the rear shock and the front forks are going to need attention. The front and rear rims have screws in them to keep the tires from spinning on the rims. The kill switch will need replaced, the original seat cover has seen better days, and the front tire has a slow leak. Cold start up can be tough if the bike sits for awhile, but after it's warm it starts easily. I don't know a lot about this particular bike or model. I looked through the archives on eBay and found one like it for a Buy It Now price of $7,500.00. From what I have read this is a very rare bike. This bike is not restored - please look at the pics. The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at my discretion. It does not come with a title - bill of sale only. Sold as-is. 330.614.1549 David |

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
