1983 KTM 504 NO RESERVE You Bid - You Buy Up for sale is my 1983 KTM 504 that I bought locally over the summer and rode once. I also rode it for about 15-20 minutes before doing this listing. It makes tire trenching power, idles, accelerates, shifts, and stops like it should. No smoke. The bike was set up for racing by an older gentleman years ago and it does have a Fox twin clicker rear shock. Both the rear shock and the front forks are going to need attention. The front and rear rims have screws in them to keep the tires from spinning on the rims. The kill switch will need replaced, the original seat cover has seen better days, and the front tire has a slow leak. Cold start up can be tough if the bike sits for awhile, but after it's warm it starts easily. I don't know a lot about this particular bike or model. I looked through the archives on eBay and found one like it for a Buy It Now price of $7,500.00. From what I have read this is a very rare bike. This bike is not restored - please look at the pics. Riding round the north of Scotland
Mon, 20 Aug 2012I’m ashamed to say that until last week, I had no idea what incredible roads and scenery the North West of Scotland had to offer. Starting at Helensburgh just west of Glasgow, ten of us (including ex racers Duffus, MacPherson, Morrison and Simpson,) rode 600 miles round the coast then back down to Inverness. On mostly empty but immaculate roads we lost count of the mountains, lochs and sandy beaches along the way.
