KTM Adventure tech info
KTM Adventure description
Up for sale is my 2004 KTM 950 Adventure S with so many upgrades I will specify separately.
I bought the bike in trade for a 1200GSA and it is a better riding bike in every way. The suspension was professionally re-valved and restrung for rider/luggage combination of 260 pounds. It handles better than my 1200GSA with Ohlins ever did. It runs like a scalded ape. It has the power a super bike and is dirt worthy to boot. I have ridden this bike the most of all my motorcycles and have loved it the most. It pains me to sell her but I am moving and cannot take motorcycles with me so she has to go. Here are all the upgrades, well, most of them: Adventure S Suspension properly set up, valved and sprung. Scotts/Ohlins steering dampener with aftermarket billet top triple clamp so dampener can be under handlebar. Renazco touring/racing suede seat. Akrapovic Titanium exhaust (This exhaust is $1000 and not being made any more) Tourtatech Aliminium skid plate (black powder coat) Fastway footpegs Euro head light conversion New gel battery Gobi luggage racks Billet clutch slave cylinder High front fender kit. (I have the original, and you are welcome to it) Upgraded rear brake lever (folds back in stead of getting hooked) Zipty front axle easy pull KTM power parts sprocket Orange powder coat axle caps and clutch master cylinder cover. Custom Orange paint that has copper pearl in it. (Very cool color. I repainted the bike due to the comon tank paint bubbling issue and i had a small fall that scratched the paint. I included pictures of the bike before paint so you can see the damage was minor and the paint bubbling.) Bike also comes with a set of Metzeler Karoo II, very handy in the dirt and still in great shape. The bike has been gone through from top to bottom to make sure everything is in order. No expense has been spared in keeping her in pristine order. All recalls have been done and oil just changed. Even the coolant has been upgraded. I'm sure I'm forgetting some good stuff but it is a great bike and the closest thing to a new KTM 950 that I have seen. In an effort to disclose every possible thing, here are the known flaws: The visor, hand guard, brake master and crash bars have some scratches from the fall i had. (covering them up seemed dishonest). Again pics of that are included. Rear tire will take you home if you fly and ride but that is about it. (it will need replaced, but has not been, so that you can blast home on the interstate). I can also replace it for you if you want just work out the details with me. Please feel free to come and look at this bike. You will not be disappointed. Really nice bike, and the paint is one of a kind. There is a $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours. I also have the bike for sale locally and reserve the right to end auction early. |

Yet another example of conventional wisdom baloney. It’s actually more fun to ride a fast bike fast, or even a medium-fast one.
