KTM Adventure description

First if you are a pavement lover move on...this bike has and is used as it was designed. The tires are at 50-60%, includes a set of aluminum panniers with expandable top racks, SW mototech crash bars, black dog bash plate, FMF exhaust system, 60csx mount and wire (GPS NOT included), led headlight, a set of heated grips (not on it come with it), fresh chain and sprocket, cyrca hand guards, recent battery, and the plagued water pump seal has been replaced. I just got back from Colorado on it...had to repair an oil leak, but otherwise a sound ride. It has the normal bubbling graphics, some scratches and scuffs (yes it's been down...it's been ridden properly). It's not pristine, but it's an overgrown dirt bike. Why am I selling...? Well I have several bikes a wife and two kids....so long adventure trips are out of the question at the moment so my smaller bikes will suffice. I would entertain a trade for a jeep TJ Wrangler (no yj)-6 cyl, diesel crew cab truck (plus cash from me), cash plus drz400, kdx, KTM 690 Enduro, trx250r, and will consider other variations of what I've described. Finally, it is a used bike....no warranties, while I don't believe you'll have any issues, something may arise...its used. As always cash is king...own the first Dakar inspired adventure bike and roost the socks off your friends xr,klr,dr bikes. 731-694-1337 Chris

The future is orange, and it’s also been leaked to the public. This image was leaked from KTM’s dealer meeting, revealing the Austrian company’s plans for new models for the North American market for the next three years. Notable models listed from KTM‘s outline include the previously confirmed for India Duke 350, three Freeride models (including two electric ones) 1290cc versions of the Super Duke R and Adventure, as well as an expanded use of 350cc engines.

Intermot 2012: KTM 1190 Adventure and 1190 Adventure R Introduced in Cologne

Thu, 04 Oct 2012

The 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure actually broke cover in late September after an image from an official brochure was accidentally leaked onto the Internet. Or was it an accident? The supposed leak just happened to occur the same day Ducati revealed its 2013 Multistrada 1200 lineup, a direct rival to KTM‘s latest adventure touring model.

Carbon Fibre race bikes, and a KTM makes it debut on the BSB Motostar rostrum

Tue, 26 Jun 2012

Many think Carbon Fibre chassis are relatively new to motorcycle racing but I can lay claim to having been there and done that almost thirty years ago. I first rode a Carbon/Kevlar 250cc Armstrong in 1983 before going on to grab four British titles and pretty much every national lap record over the next three years. I also had some top ten 250cc Grand Prix finishes although I was totally gutted when my team mate Donnie McLeod topped me by finishing 2nd in the Belgian GP at Spa.
