2001 15,600 miles Up for sale is this hard to fine and arguably best Adventure Thumper ever made. Highlights: Bike runs great, never crashed, clean Carfax, no leaks, lots of bolt on goodies, never abused, new tires. Need to know: Factory speedo/odometer unit failed and was replaced with aftermarket unit, therefore the mileage was lost. The title states "exempt" but Carfax shows 15,100 miles in February 2016. Only 500 miles have been put on the bike since then. Recent service done: Tune up, front Fork seals. Pit Biking; good clean fun for all the family
Wed, 01 Feb 2012If you haven’t tried Pit Biking yet, you’re missing out on some incredible fun, and it won’t break the bank. The majority of pit bikes are of Chinese origin and I guess, are best described as modern day monkey bikes. Yes Chinese, and I’ve witnessed them being thrashed round all day long without missing a beat, so Jonny Wong and co. are finally getting there on quality and reliability! Although Pit Bikes are designed for off road use, an extra few hundred quid spent on matching up wheels, fitting tarmac tyres and some crash protection will mean you’re track ready for a total of around £600.
2014 KTM 1190 Adventure Introduces Motorcycle Stability Control Technology
Tue, 24 Sep 2013KTM unveiled the 2014 versions of the 1190 Adventure and 1190 Adventure R, along with a new rider assist system it calls Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC). Developed with anti-lock brake system manufacturer Bosch, MSC applies combined-ABS and traction control even when leaned over into a curve. Sensors gather data on various parameters including wheel speed, lean angle, pitch angle, acceleration and braking pressure.
