Ace Mallot, legendary Moto Guzzi mechanic rebuilt this bikes engine while working at Jackson Cycle in Missouri a few years ago.Ace is well known around the national Guzzi world.Ace at one time was a member of the MG Cycle Vintage race team.no one knows Moto Guzzis better than Ace.Offered here is a 1975 Moto Guzzi 850 T.Not a collection of new reproduction parts but a painstaking restoration rechroming and retainining as many original parts as possible.Original Italian Borani wheels.Professionally painted tank an side covers are beautiful as pictures indicate. The soul of this ole Guzzis is still intact .She is electric start and fires up quickly after setting for several months.New mufflers are Moto Guzzi and correct for this bike. Many people look at this bike and think its brand new.No its 40 plus years old.The aluminum pieces and engine are not over polished and have a slight patina.I have the original riders manual that will go to the new owner. If you ever wanted a classic Italian motorcycle look at the pictures very carefully. The engine has less than 10 miles on it since Ace worked his magic on the it.I will look at all serios offers. You can text me at 9184293504 Thanks

  • 1975 Moto Guzzi 850T1975 Moto Guzzi 850T (1975)
1975 Moto Guzzi 850T with the following enhancements:1000cc cylinders (more grunt!), about 2500 miles (approx) since the 1000cc upgrade. "T2" conversion (dual front disc brakes plumbed to front master cylinder, with stainless braided lines), greatly improves braking feel and stopping power and reduces the "squeezing the brick" typical guzzi front brake feel)Permanent Magnet Gear Reduction (PMGR) high torque starter (cranks engine faster, uses less amperage to do it)Barnett heavy duty clutch.Bar-end turn signals (visible from both the front and rear, eliminating the need for the ugly and fragile 70's style rear turn signal stalks.)Avon RoadRider tires front and rear (excellent condition)IKON rear shocks (adjustable)Recovered seat with new foam.Helical cam gear conversion (rock solid cam/ignition timing, smoother more stable idle,  no more timing chain worries, eliminating the terrible stock timing chain tensioner that never worked.)Solid state adjustable voltage high current voltage regulator.Dyna-S Electronic Ignition (no more points!)BMW mufflers (nice deep throaty tone, (has additional baffles currently installed, which can be removed if you wish for louder more aggressive pipes),  see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1TOemDfR8E)Professionally powder coated frame (Black Lava frame, Black side covers, black highlights on crash bars, triple trees, etc)Midnight treatment: blacked out engine with proper high temp paint (it just looks sexier in my opinion)Polished stainless steel fasteners throughout (with few exceptions) Notes for full disclosure:There are a few minor scratches on the tank where the seat meets it (common for these due to the way the seat swings up (pivot at the rear)).There's a very small ding in the tank on the right front side,  its very shallow and hard to see unless you get the light on it just the right way. There are a few minor paint chips on the engine.  A can of extra paint for any future touch-ups will be provided.

2024 KTM 890 SMT Review

Thu, 01 Aug 2024

The love child of a Duke and Adventure – that oddly works Photos by Edward Narraca. If ever there was an oxymoron in motorcycling, it’s the term “SuperMoto Touring,” and yet here it is, emblazoned on the side of this orange machine. Supermoto evokes images of dirt bikes on slick tires, being hucked sideways into corners.

2024 KTM 390 Duke Review – First Ride

Fri, 22 Mar 2024

Premium treatment for the baby Duke Photos by: Francesc Montero, Sebas Romero Like many things in life, perspective is everything. Here in the US, KTM’s 390 Duke has been the smallest member of the Duke family (although that’s no longer true as the 250 and 200 Dukes cross the ocean, too). As the baby Duke in America, we generally look at it with kid gloves, a cute learner bike for someone to start with before coming up through the ranks.

2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO Review – First Ride

Thu, 07 Mar 2024

We’ve officially entered into the world of the ridiculous Photos by Francesc Montero and Sebas Romero There’s only so much you can learn about a motorcycle after getting about four laps on a racetrack you haven’t seen in a decade. Factor in the cold conditions, a brand new, race-compound rear tire, and no tire warmers, and you can basically throw away any sort of authoritative impressions about the bike. Oh, and did I mention the bike in question is the 2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R EVO and the racetrack was the ultra-tricky Almeria circuit?

2024 KTM 990 Duke Review – First Ride

The middle Duke is giving off big brother vibes Photos: Francesc Montero, Sebas Romero It’s no secret that we at Motorcycle.com love KTM’s 790 and 890 Duke (and really love the 890 Duke R). Long-time readers will know this already, but if you’re new here, our history with the middle Duke family runs deep. Type in either 790 or 890 Duke in our search bar and you’ll see the myriad of stories and tests we’ve done with those bikes.

2023 KTM 890 Duke R: 5 Things You Need To Know

Tue, 12 Dec 2023

We say goodbye to an instant classic with five things we love about it It’s hard to say goodbye to the ones you love, but that’s exactly what we have to do with the KTM 890 Duke R. One of our favorite bikes since its introduction, the 890 Duke R is leaving the KTM lineup to make way for the incoming 990 Duke (and the re-introduced 790 Duke). But before we bid it farewell, we put it up against some of its European contemporaries in a good old fashioned MO shootout.

2023 KTM RC 8C Review

Wed, 31 May 2023

It had been quite a while since I last rode a multi-cylinder KTM on a racetrack – all the way back to 2011 and the Red Bull-sponsored factory RC8R 1200cc V-twin on which Martin Bauer was victorious in that year’s IDM German Superbike Championship, with teammate Stefan Nebel third. That was a key moment in the Austrian dirtbike specialist’s climb up the ladder to equal status with the likes of Honda and Ducati in the road racing pantheon, and showed that orange was a color to be reckoned with on-road as well as off it. KTM invited Alan Cathcart to join 30 customers to pick up their new RC 8Cs in Valencia and hobnob with the likes of Jeremy McWilliams, Mika Kallio, and Brad Binder.
