KTM 360exc tech info
KTM 360exc description
1996 KTM 360 exc, I have gone through this bike pretty much top to bottom, engine top end was rebuilt by Cliffs KTM in Norfolk MA 2 years ago, fork seals done at the same time as well as rebuild front brake caliper and replace front master brake cylinder. This season saw 2 new rims and spokes as well as new Micheliin tires with about 6-8 rides on them, always in the dirt. I just replaced the rear brake pads and have new front pads waiting to go in. Also new chain and sprockets and new radiators, always run on 32/1 gas to oil ratio with premium oil. The 360's had faulty stators when new, this bike has an upgraded stator in it so no issues there, I have a torque spacer on it with a full FMF exhaust and it is tuned to run in the new england riding season of spring, summer and fall. Starts first kick when hot and 2nd or 3rd when cold. I replaced the kicker with an updated version with a better bend in it for a better quality kick.
This bike is an excellent hill climb bike and a great trail bike, it is NOT for beginners! When you have the nerve to open the throttle where the power valve opens, lets just say you better be holding on, it's got HOLY CRAP kind of power! You will be laughing in your helmet...if your still on the bike. I'm doing more technical riding now so I'm looking for a smaller bike, this is a very very dependable bike, new plastics are still available and I have a couple of side panels and all the exc lighting as well as the original kick stand. I do not want to ship so local buyers only or you can make arrangements for shipping. Thanks, Ken |
