Indian Scout 249 description
I have a 1949 Indian Scout 249 vertical twin 440 cc motorcycle for sale. Everything seems original on the bike as far as I can tell except the exhaust have been changed and floor boards have been added. I have owned this bike for the past 3-4 years with the intention of getting it started and restoring her with the help of my father in law. I have two young kids at home and I just have no time to work on and enjoy this beauty. It has been sitting covered in my garage since I bought it. I know the engine has nice blue sparks, airflow, and good compression. Should not be difficult to get running. Looks like the bike has been well cared for over the years as the bike is complete with a couple dings and almost no rust. The tail light housing is there but the plastic cover is not. I have two original keys. I have the title and it is clear. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I can have it available for pick-up in Windsor, Ontario Canada or Detroit, Michigan depending on the buyers location. There is no reserve for this auction.
