Indian Other description

2000 Indian Millenium Chief , RARE 2000 Indian Chief Millennium for sale. Only 250 of these bikes were ever produced! 1442 cc (88 cu) S&S engine, 2 into one exhaust. 5-speed. It has been re-jetted for this altitude (6,200 feet) and runs perfectly. Only 10,855 original miles. The Millennium Edition features matching gray seats, by Corbin, saddle-bags, and backrest. Trickle charger and an Indian security system included. Spare headlamp and taillight included. This bike has always been garage kept, never ridden hard, mostly highway miles, and never laid down. It's extremely comfortable for long distance trips. Most people think that it is brand new as it is in immaculate condition. Ive had it in car/bike shows and it has never placed lower than third. I found one of these rare bikes on the Internet with more miles and the asking price was $15,500. I am asking $13,999, but the price is negotiable. Now that Polaris owns Indian, this bike will only appreciate in value. Indian is America's first motorcycle company and is an absolute classic. If you want more pictures I'll happily send them to you, and answer any questions you have. I absolutely adore this motorcycle, but I need the money. I own the bike and the title is clear. Buyer is responsible for any shipping costs, but if you live close enough (about 200 miles) I'd ride it out to you. Serious inquiries only please. $13,999.00 3073994923

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

The simplicity of this 1916 Indian Board Track Racer is what makes it so beautiful. Board Track was popular during the early part of the 20th century where cars and motorcycles competed at these stadiums where the surface was composed of wooden boards. It was an idea copied from velodromes used across Europe for bicycle racing and ultimately led to the oval racing phenomenon - like NASCAR - that still captivates Americans today.
