1948 Indian Chief 

 1948 Chief with rarer Corbin Speedo and rear drive unit used in late model police bikes instead of front hub driven speedo.

Very sharp looking Chief. 

Pin stripe around the main tank area that sets it off. Chrome, paint and parts are all well above good to excellent condition.

The seat in particular that looks to have been of a Heather's Leather design and new condition.

It has the rarer, extremely good condition fender bullet lights tied in to the rear brake light.

  • No fins appear missing
  • "Unblemished" cases with no visible welds/seams from the cases.
  • Mileage may or may not be correct
  • Bosch Generator "and" voltage regulator 7V series 6 volt
  • Clean TN title
  • Valovoline VR1 50 wt racing oil

Polaris Reports Q3 2013 Sales Results

Polaris Industries topped the $1 billion mark in sales for the first time in company history during the third quarter. Total sales revenue totaled $1.1 billion in the quarter, up 25.3% from $879.9 million reported in the same quarter last year. “Our record third quarter results reflect both the ongoing demand for our existing products and the potential contained within the initial shipments of our model year 2014 vehicles, the largest new product introduction in the company’s history,” says Scott Wine, chief executive officer of Polaris Industries.

Polaris Industries reports a 11.8% increase in net sales and a 14.6% increase in profit over the quarter ended June 30, 2013. The company earned a record $80 million in profit in the quarter, compared to $69.8 million in the same quarter last year. Most of the gains however were from Polaris’ off-road vehicles, its GEM, Goupil and Aixam small vehicles and sales of parts, garments and accessories including Klim apparel.

2015 Hero HX250R – The Indian Sportbike Developed by Erik Buell

Indian manufacturer Hero MotoCorp revealed a new 249cc sportbike developed with the help of Erik Buell Racing. Hero is calling the HX250R for now, though the name may change before it enters production in the second half of the year. Whatever the name, the HX250R will be Hero’s flagship model and the company’s weapon against former business partner Honda and its CBR250R.
