Indian Other description

1917 PowerPlus Hendee,Indian-engine teens-Vintage?, this was a running motor when I pulled it from the original-Bike in the early 60s, the lower end spins free, with pistons, cylinders & valve's.Lifters are all free, lifter bases are rust free, This is not a swamp bog or field motor their are no breaks or cracks, or welds on the cases, Has 1 broken cylinder base ear, the most rust you might find on it is light surface rust on parts of the flywheels, Could use a good De-greasing & steel wool cleaning, or with light glass bead the cases would look as new, It's-Been-stored in a-file cabinet drawer for well-over 42-years & as oily as the day I pulled it, I just-washed it off with gasoline so you could see what you are buying, it has No Carb, Manifold, or mag, long gone for other bikes I had over the years, wouldn't take much to do this motor over, I am looking for-offers-that-exceed the $2900.00, This Indian=motor is a prefect candidate for your restoration I'll send you all the pics you want & anything you might want to know call me for e-mail Private, blocked, unknown, #s or the like may not be answered so leave a message & call back # (860) 982-XXXX Berlin, CT

Whether it was the Springfield Mile, the Charity Newsies or Daytona, Bill Tuman, Bobby Hill and Ernie Beckman put their Indian motorcycles on the top step of the podium. Known as the Indian Wrecking Crew, Tuman, Hill and Beckman made an indelible mark on the history books and solidified Indian Motorcycles’ reputation as one of the 20th Century’s greatest marques.

New Indian Commercial Pokes Fun At Harley-Davidson

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

The big news in the motorcycle world this year is the return of Indian motorcycles. Earlier this year, parent company Polaris unveiled the all-new Thunderstroke 111 engine as a sneak peak to the 2014 Chief which is set to make its official debut at Sturgis at the beginning of August. To prepare for this momentous occasion, Indian produced this commercial, which takes a nice, healthy jab at the iconic Motor Company.
