Rebuilt 48 Chief is for sale. The bike has matching numbers, just rebuilt by a professional Indian technician, and runs and rides great. Clean Florida title. The bike is set up Indian style - Tank shift on the right, spark advance on the right handlebar, throttle on the left handlebar, left foot toe down(forward) to shift, heel down to go. Mark your calendars for February 5 and 6, 2013, as those are the dates when Bonhams — one of the world’s largest auctioneers of fine arts and antiques — will put for sale two motorcycle collections which include some incredibly rare and historic machines. The Grand Palais in Paris, France will play host to the auction, which includes the entire Garelli Grand Prix collection as its headliner. Founded in 1919, many famous Italian racers got their starts on Garelli motorcycles.

Riding the wave of momentum from Indian’s long-awaited revival, for 2014, Indian Motorcycles will be the marque of the year at this year’s Vintage Motorcycle Days (VMD), held at the historic Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, July 11-13. As this year’s celebrated marque, VMD will include special recognition, displays and race classes for historic Indian-brand motorcycles (including Indian “Motocycles” from the early days), as well as participation from the new Indian Motorcycle. VMD is open to all riders, regardless of what bike they ride.
