Indian Chief description

Up for sale is a fully restored 1947 Indian Chief Motorcycle. If you are in the market for one, I doubt you will find one in nicer condition. I am listing this motorcycle for my neighbor Harold, since he doesn't use ebay. All of the pictures were taken today, 08/29/2013 and show the bike in its current condition. He has fully restored three Indian motorcycles, and knows these bikes inside and out. He just sold the red 1946 Indian Chief that was listed for sale on ebay, this one is restored to the same high level. Only reason for selling is that he is getting too old to ride. If you have any more specific questions and are serious about purchasing the motorcycle, please message me, and I will give you his contact information. Onto the specifics-

all bolts, nuts, screws are polished stainless steel, nothing was left untouched, and the results are breathtaking! If you look at the close up pictures, you can see the attention to detail that went into building this motorcycle...well over 2000 man hours went into this restoration, you would be hard pressed to find one in nicer condition. No shortcuts were taken, and many NOS parts were used during the restoration. Only 349 miles and this motorcycle needs nothing except for a new owner!  I have been an ebay member since 1999, and have 100% positive feedback.  Motorcycle is located in Chesapeake VA 23320.  Thanks for looking!

Polaris Reports Q1 2012 Results

Wed, 18 Apr 2012

Polaris Industries reported a 44% increase in on-road vehicle sales revenue and a 40% increase in North American Victory Motorcycle unit sales over the first quarter of 2012. According to Polaris’ first quarter report, its on-road vehicle division (which consists of the Victory and Indian motorcycle brands as well as electric vehicle brands GEM and Goupil) generated $64.7 million in sales revenue, compared to $44.9 million reported in the same quarter of 2011. Of course, the Polaris didn’t yet own Indian, GEM or Goupil during that quarter last year, so the figures are a bit misleading.

Indian Motorcycle to Reveal 2015 Lineup at Sturgis

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Indian Motorcycle made a splash at last year’s Sturgis Rally, making its rebirth under Polaris Industries and revealing its Thunderstroke 111 V-Twin powered 2014 lineup. It should come as no surprise then that Indian announced it will reveal its all-new 2015 model lineup at this year’s Sturgis Rally. Although Indian makes the “all-new” claim, we expect a similar lineup to what’s currently available (Chief, Chief Vintage and Chieftain), perhaps with a revision or a new spin on an existing model.

2020 Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse Review – First Ride

Thu, 19 Sep 2019

The new American V-Twin muscle champ Credit: Photos by Barry Hathaway, Indian & Eric Putter Indian rolled into the octagon with a newly pumped-up Thunder Stroke 116 powerplant that threw down 126 lb-ft of torque, riding off with the 2020 Motorcycle Manufacturers Association (MMA) American V-Twin Muscle Grudge Match. In this piston-swinging, bigger-is-better cage match – which has become an intrastate contest of competing claims – the freshly minted 1890cc Thunder Stroke engine bested Harley-Davidson’s 1917cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 by a single foot-pound of torque. Talk about one-upmanship!
