Indian Chief description

Listing my 1947 Indian Chief Motorcycle. I went thru and completely restored this bike about 2 years ago. I found it in about 200 pieces in a barn on the Western end of the U.P. I am by no means a professional. This is a rider and not a show bike. I put a few of my own touches on the bike to make it look even older than it is. Lots of brass and copper. Will turn every head in town.

The entire build process can be viewed on the Caimag website below:

This is a strong running bike, as can be seen in the youtube video below as well.

This is not a numbers matching bike, 1947 motor, 1948 frame.

Chu-mee seat included with this bike.

Motor:
74" Original Cases. Fresh Rebuild 500-600 miles.
Re sleeved by Kiwi Indian. Stock Bore
Rebuilt Linkert Carb
Freshly rebuilt Generator by Tony.

Trans:
3 Speed

I'm going to miss this bike very much!

This will be a pickup only auction. Buyer is responsible for shipping this bike.  Located in Newberry,Mi in Upper Peninsula. I reserve the right to end the auction as bike is for sale locally.

Exceptions such as “The World’s Fastest Indian,” “On Any Sunday,” “Faster” and “Take It To The Limit” exist, but gems like these are rarities. An attractive female straddling a bike on the big screen — no matter how audacious, unbelievable or misguided — usually gets a pass.
