Indian 741 Scout description

again up for sale nice rare bike on US soil, which is 1941 indian military scout model 741, motorcycle is in very nice shape for its age, yet it is not sit and ride condition now. it is a MATCHING NUMBERS motorcycle( see pictures) with clear california title in my name. engine fires up, so nothing wrong with it transmission shifts throug out all 3 gears, bike is about 90 % oem, and few aftermarket pieces like:
headlight
jiffy side stand
radio shield on distributor
spokes( wheels were done and are nice and true with new tires)
tool box
chain
damper handle
carb elbow
rubber hose to air filter with clamps
skid plate
exhaust
seat
rest on the bike is original and came in as 1 motorcycle since 1941 or 43 considering high numbers. i had a bit fun with it and painted it green as You see now but it was spray paint from home depot, so dont consider that being a fresh paint, stars and stickers are vinyl , all  done just for good looks, yet i think it looks nice  and draws attention even like that . bottom line is this is still a project that needs few things small and bigger like the luggage rack, and lots of tinkering with all small details, but if You know thing or two about old bikes it is a perfect winter project that doesn't need anything major to make it a rider, and a nice one. i am not in rush to sell, so please DONT low ball, if You dont have cash on You for the bid you clicking, DONT bid. 1000$ non refundable deposit after winning the bidding, then rest within 7 days pls. preffered local pick up. i can take it to chicago for 300 as i drive trucks to that city weekly, other locations, its happy new ownes job to arrange for pu. happy bidding. auction is for the motorcycle only and that crash bar and skid plate , so whatever You see on the picts, is gonna come to You

Indian Files EFTR Trademark for an Electric Motorcycle UPDATE

Wed, 10 Jun 2020

UPDATE (June 12, 2020): An Indian Motorcycle PR representative reached out to comment on this story, explaining that the EFTR will NOT be an electric version of the FTR, but rather a “youth-oriented product” that will be announced later this year. Here’s the full statement from the Indian Motorcycle PR team: “The trademark application upon which Motorcycle.com based a recent story written by Dennis Chung on June 10, is related to a new youth-oriented product that will be unveiled later this year, and is not related to a new electric version of the FTR 1200.” We’re leaving our original story below, but here’s our take on the clarification. The term “youth-oriented product” can mean a lot of things, from children’s balance bikes to mini-bikes like the Honda Monkey to an entry-level motorcycle.

Hero MotoCorp Reports Sales of 541,615 Motorcycles and Scooters in December 2012

Fri, 04 Jan 2013

Whenever we publish stories about the motorcycle industry in India, we still get comments from readers surprised at how big a role that nation’s market plays, and perhaps more poignantly, how small it makes the U.S. market look. The latest sales numbers from Hero MotoCorp, India’s market leader, should further highlight the importance of India’s motorcycle market.
