Husqvarna SMR 450 100th ANNIVERSARY description
HUSQVARNA SMR 450 100th ANNIVERSARY MOTORCYCLE Motorcycle for sale. Please read the full description as I have been thorough on every aspect of the bikes condition. This sale is for pick up only, so you have to come with a trailer or pick-up truck of some sort if you bid on the bike. There are some photos of a bin with spare parts and stickers and all items will come with the bike. I have many more pictures that I can send on request. Thanks for reviewing my listing. Name: HUSQVARNA Year: 2003 (100 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BIKE) BLACK & BLUE DESIGN Model: SMR 450 This bike has been driven on a campus for the most part with very little street driving and very little to no off-road riding. Do not have any paper work. Has not been registered or had insurance. I do have the manual and some of the other diagrams and stuff you see in one of the pictures. Bike was originally “street legal” when previous owner had it in Atlanta, Georgia but have since removed the blinker and brake light system. Bike was never made street legal for California. Has in inoperational digital odometer/speedometer which you can see in one of the pictures. Tires Description: MICHELIN “ANAKEE 3” ADVENTURE TOURING TIRES Chain Description: YAMAHA 9Y580-88121-00 Cosmetics Description: Used and rough. Black plastic. Original design was a blue and black Husqzarna 100 Year Anniversary design. Plastic kept getting destroyed by the sun and after 2 rounds of new decals, I just left them off. There are some new decals in the pictures which will come with the bike. It is not all of them. Bike has “GUTS” Hardcore Husqvarna Gripper Seat Cover put on in March 2015. Purchased and installed a new CDC602-K DOUBLE-ACTION ASV CLUTCH LEVER IN FEBRUARY 2015 New MICHELIN “ANAKEE 3” ADVENTURE TOURING TIRES (Front and rear installed in August 2015. NOTE FRONT TIRE IS TOO WIDE AND IS WEARING ON THE FRONT FORK PLASTIC ESCUTCHEONS (NOT SURE IF THIS IS A BIG DEAL.) Replaced fork seal, bushing, springs and oil in January 2014. Refurbished starter motor with repair kit in 2014. GP Motorcycles in San Diego replaced the Slave Cylinder Billet, 9.5mm Clutch Master Cylinder, Clutch Piston X-Ring, Clutch Pipe LC4/SM and CU-Seal Ring DIN7603-10X15X1 in January 2013 Chain and both sprockets were replaced in March 2010. ___________________ SUMMARY OF THINGS THAT NEED TO BE FIXED: 1) Needs a new battery. EICMA 2013: Husqvarna 701 Prototype
Tue, 05 Nov 2013In what direction Husqvarna’s going with this prototype we don’t really know. Husky hasn’t released any factual information about the company’s 701 prototype except for some existential blather on the company’s Facebook page. “It is a glimpse of the future Husqvarna design direction, the philosophy that future Husqvarna’s will follow, where the surfaces of the bodywork are understated, focusing on simplicity.” That’s more bodywork than we’ve seen on any modern Husky.
Swedish solutions
Wed, 05 Dec 2012ONE question - where can we get one? The video shows Swedish army issue Husqvarna 258's (1981) fitted with 'ski-stabilisers'. The riders put their feet on the skis and slide in confidently, despite the snow and ice. Apparently these are pretty common in the Swedish military which is as good a reason as I've ever heard to do your service for King Gustaf. Check out how he opens it up at about 45 seconds in...
New 2014 Husqvarna Models – Get Your Two-Strokes Here!
Tue, 08 Oct 2013To celebrate its 110th birthday this year, Husqvarna is offering no less than ten different North American models including two-strokes and four-strokes and sizes ranging from 85cc to 501cc. Several of Husqvarna’s innovations can be found on the 2014 machines – most notably the polyamide rear subframe. Housing the airbox and electronics of each model, the high-tech composite construction of the polyamide subframe is designed to offer optimum rigidity while also allowing more flex than a traditional aluminum structure (polyamide will bend back into place unlike aluminum). The innovative subframe is applied to every new Husqvarna – even the TCs which marks the first time a composite rear subframe has been offered on a production two-stroke motocrosser. Each model in the 2014 line also utilizes WP front suspension mounted by Husqvarna’s distinctive CNC-machined black triple clamps.
