Husqvarna Other description

2014 Husqvarna TR650, Heroes Ride Husqvarna! - What turns a commute into a journey? What turns a drive into a trek? Challenge your perspectives from the seat of Husqvarna’s all-new TR650. The road becomes your “Terra-tory” and your destination becomes superfluous. It’s about the ride. Practicality meets passion with Husqvarna’s all-new TR650 Terra. The seven-day-a-week motorcycle is capable of being both urban commuter and weekend trekker. The dirt-road - Terra - features a 652 cc single-cylinder DOHC motor based on BMW’s venerable G 650 GS engine. A modified EFI system, redesigned cams, higher compression and revised piston and cylinder head increase the power output, allowing the TR650 to boast 58 horsepower while still offering excellent fuel capacity of over 55 mpg.

2018 Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 and Vitpilen 701 Spied

Thu, 25 May 2017

Credit: Photos by BMH-Images When Husqvarna introduced the production models of the Svartpilen 401 street-scrambler and Vitpilen 401 caf racer last November, which are based on KTMs 390 powertrain, we figured it was only a matter of time before we saw larger versions using Huskys 701 engine. Husqvarna had already presented a Vitpilen 701 in concept form a year earlier, so we were not entirely shocked when we received spy photos of a near-production version (above right) alongside its sibling, a Svartpilen 701. The Vitpilen 701 being tested doesnt stray too far from the original concept.

Fresh Swedish styling on proven Austrian performance Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield Husqvarna, a company better known for its off-road bikes or chainsaws, depending on who you ask made big waves in the motorcycle world three years ago when the Austrian-owned Swedish brand announced it would enter the street bike market with concepts of its Vitpilen and Svartpilen models. Fast forward to EICMA last November, and there they were, in the flesh and on the floor real motorcycles. 2018 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 Editor Score: 89.75% Engine 18.5/20 Suspension/Handling 14.0/15 Transmission/Clutch 9.0/10 Brakes 9.5/10 Instruments/Controls 3.0/5 Ergonomics/Comfort 9.0/10 Appearance/Quality 8.75/10 Desirability 9.0/10 Value 9.0/10 Overall Score 89.75/100 2018 Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 Editor Score: 85.75% Engine 18.5/20 Suspension/Handling 14.0/15 Transmission/Clutch 9.0/10 Brakes 9.5/10 Instruments/Controls 3.0/5 Ergonomics/Comfort 7.0/10 Appearance/Quality 7.75/10 Desirability 8.5/10 Value 8.5/10 Overall Score 85.75/100 Admittedly, at first I was less than impressed, and after elbowing my way through the crowd to see what all the fuss was about, I was still left scratching my head, somewhat disappointed like a kid who got Irish Spring soap and a pack of fresh tighty-whiteys for Christmas.

2015 Husqvarna Off-Road Lineup Revealed

Fri, 27 Jun 2014

Husqvarna Motorcycles revealed its 2015 dirtbike model lineup with a number of upgrades, most noticeably the use of WP Suspension’s 4 chamber fork across the entire motocross line. Many of the updates are similar to those introduced on the 2015 KTM lineup, which should be no surprise after Husqvarna was acquired by KTM’s Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer. The 2015 motocross lineup includes the four-stroke FC250, FC350, FC450 and TC85 and the two-stroke TC125 and TC250.
