The street becomes the Strada-sphere and your destination becomes superfluous. It s about the ride. Practicality meets passion with Husqvarna s all-new TR650 Strada. The seven-day-a-week motorcycle is capable of being both urban commuter and weekend trekker. The asphalt-oriented Strada features a 652cc single-cylinder DOHC motor based on BMW s venerable G 650 GS engine. A modified EFI system, redesigned cams, higher compression and revised piston and cylinder head increase the power output, allowing the TR650 to boast 58 horsepower while still offering excellent fuel capacity of over 55 mpg.

EICMA 2012: Introducing the Brutus, the Two-Wheeled SUV

You’d be forgiven if you thought the motorcycle pictured here was a Husqvarna on steroids. No, despite the red and white colors and Husky’s recent reputation for showcasing surprising concept models at EICMA (such as the Mille 3 in 2010 and the Baja at this year’s show), the bike shown here is an all new model called the Brutus from a company called Over. Designed by Alessandro Tartarini, formerly Lambretta designer and son of the founder of Italian motorcycle company Italjet, the Brutus is a pre-production concept that has been described as being a two-wheeled SUV.

AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days A Rousing Success

AMA members and motorcyclists from across the country celebrated the people, machines and sport of motorcycling at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring the riders and champions of Husqvarna, over the July 19-21 weekend. The annual gathering of tens of thousands of motorcycling enthusiasts participated in vintage racing, took in numerous bike shows, met their motorcycling heroes, purchased vintage parts and motorcycles in the massive swap meet, spent time with old friends, and met new ones, all at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The AMA and the American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation, which oversees the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, extend their appreciation to AMA members, racers, enthusiasts, collectors, restorers, fans, clubs, companies and others who supported the three-day celebration of motorcycling’s history and heroes.

Husqvarna Launches New Site for 900cc Streetbike

Husqvarna has launched a new website for its upcoming 900cc debut in the streetbike market segment. At the moment, the site, www.husqvarna900.com, is sparse on the details but that will change fairly quickly. Technical specs are expected on June 25 with the first official images to be revealed July 1.
