Five KTM 490 Models and More Confirmed in Pierer Mobility Presentation

Credit: Photos by Pierer Mobility, KTM A management presentation prepared by Pierer Mobility reveals a roadmap to future KTM models including a five-bike 490 platform and 890 versions of the Adventure, SMC and Enduro R. The presentation, produced for investors, confirms five 490 models expected to be powered by a new Twin-cylinder engine. These are expected to include a 490 Duke, a 490 Adventure, an RC490, a 490 SMC R and a 490 Enduro R.

BMW and Husqvarna to Unveil Concept Models at Frankfurt Auto Show

BMW will unveil an electric scooter concept model and an entry level Husqvarna streetbike concept at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show. The BMW concept, shown in the teaser sketch above, will likely be a version of the E-Scooter electric maxiscooter concept announced in July. BMW claimed the E-Scooter’s liquid-cooled electric motor offers performance similar to a 600cc combustion engine, while the battery casing itself will form the body of the frame.

2019 Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 First Look

Husqvarna continues to add to its street lineup with the new Svartpilen 701. Shown as a concept at last year’s EICMA show, the “Black Arrow” is ready to join the Vitpilen 701 “White Arrow” in Husky’s street lineup. The 2019 Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 draws inspiration from the flat track scene.
