This is an original paint Sparkling Turquoise 1971 Harley-Davidson FLH Electra-Glide with 63,000 miles. The bike is nearly all original and fully loaded for touring the back roads and highways. The bike runs great but has been sitting for a few years. It could use some basic maintenacne like cleaning the carb, bleeding the rear brakes, a new battery and cleaning the clutch. 1971 Harley Davidson FLH, 1200cc, 74 cubic inch. Frame off restored motor in 2009. The second owner purchased this motorcycle in 1995 in an exclusive auction. He rode the motorcycle, stripped it, painted it, added chrome parts, and stored the motorcycle in his family room for over 15 years. He commented that he purchased the bike from the original owner. Apparently, the original owner fell off of the bike within the first few hundred miles and then stored the bike until 1995. I purchased the bike in August of 2010 from the second owner. The second owner believes the mileage to be original. I rode the bike about 1 year. The engine has good torque, sounds great, and runs smooth. As seen in the pictures, most of the parts are original. In the case that this is a true low mile bike, I do not want to tick the odometer past the 33.611 mile mark, and I do not have proper storage for such a nice motorcycle. As seen in the pictures, this is a super clean and extremely detailed motorcycle. This motorcycle is a perfect candidate to return to factory FLH form and specifications. The 401 models originally teased at EICMA in 2014 have been going strong since the production models hit dealers back in 2018, and perhaps it has its orange sibling, the 390 Duke to thank for that. As the 390 Duke received a substantial update, it was only logical that the 401 ’Pilens would follow, and they have, receiving a new engine, chassis, and more for 2024.

Wed, 01 Mar 2023As we expected, Husqvarna announced a new Norden 901 Expedition, adding a more adventure-capable model to its lineup. Equipped with longer-travel suspension and coming standard with a number of accessories such as waterproof luggage, the Norden 901 Expedition carries an MSRP of $15,799, a $1,300 premium over the regular Norden 901. The engine remains the same 889 cc Parallel-Twin as the regular Norden 901, sharing the same DNA as the engine from its Pierer Mobility cousin, the KTM 890 Adventure.

Pierer Mobility Confirms a KTM E-Duke is in Development
Mon, 07 Feb 2022Electric Duke joins Husqvarna E-Pilen in E-Mobility plans Pierer Mobility confirmed it is working on an electric KTM streetbike as part of its push towards electro mobility. The news comes from a presentation of preliminary revenues and earnings for the 2021 business year, confirming that an E-Duke is in development. While this is the first official confirmation of an E-Duke, its development comes as no surprise, especially after KTM’s sister brand Husqvarna revealed an E-Pilen concept last April.
