Husqvarna 400 Cross description
Husqvarna 400 Cross Husky CR400 4 Speed Vintage 1971 Husqvarna 400 Cross, runs, starts and shifts as it should. Suspension in good shape, original Akront rims with yellow stickers, mostly all original Bufo bolts, original Trellenborg front tire (tube has a small leak), kick stand and chain guard. Original tank in excellent condition for it's age one fork ding otherwise straight and inside is clean. Includes original air cleaner and elbow, but missing attaching brackets and has incorrect rubber air filter boot. I ride this bike around my property ounce in awhile. Always starts within 3 kicks, shifts great and has lots of compression. Purchased from second owners nephew who said per. his uncle the bike was on it's original bore. But I have not took it apart to verify; it's a garage queen for me with it's original patina. I was going to do a complete restoration but have too many other bikes to work on. Very nice complete mostly original 1971 400 Cross oval case 4 speed. Cables will need replacing and the clutch cable is incorrect. Will cooperate with shipping at buyers expense. Note I have good shippers I have used before for shipping to the UK, New Zealand and Australlia. Note comes with title/pink slip issued 1980; so overseas shipment is not a problem. I can also quote domestic shipping and arrange shipping for you if that service would help you. Frame# MI4669 and motor 404750, correct matching numbers per. vintage Husky website.
This is the same model and year Steve McQueen owned, in fact the serial number is only 3 digits from Steve Queens, See below info from the Steve McQueen's Husky 1971 400 Cross:

2023 Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition Certified by EPA
Mon, 23 Jan 2023Upgraded Norden variant expected Feb. 1 Photos by Rudi Schedl When the Husqvarna Norden 901 entered the market for 2022, one of the first things we asked was when we would see a more adventure-focused version. That is, after all, the modus operandi for Husqvarna’s sister brand, KTM, which gave the 890 Adventure an upscaled R version.

Sat, 28 Nov 2015Husqvarna has expanded its family of “black and white arrows” with the 701 Vitpilen, which, as it turns out, is not the last in the company's line-up. The Swedish brand is also preparing to release a 125cc Vitpilen 401 model. And given that the KTM Duke range also has a 200cc variant, we can assume that the family, which has not yet entered the assembly line, will soon grow to five models.
